A fresh, peachy sweet tea that's perfect for hot summer days. I am definitely NOT a fan of sweet or flavored tea, but I came up with this concoction on accident, and LOVE it. Remember, the amount of alcohol you want to use is up to personal taste. I personally use a little more vodka than peach schnapps. I just like a touch of the peach flavoring.

6 regular tea bags
1 quart water
1 can (15 oz) peaches in juice, pureed in blender
1 quart cold water
1 cup water
1 cup granulated white sugar

Steps:

  • Boil one quart of water in a large pot. Add tea bags and steep for 3-5 minutes. Remove tea bags and discard.
  • While tea is steeping, prepare simple syrup: in a separate small saucepan, combine one cup of water and one cup of sugar and bring to a boil. Stir until sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat and allow to cool.
  • Pour simple syrup into pot with tea and stir. In a heat-safe pitcher, combine the tea with pureed peaches, and one quart of cold water. Refrigerate until ready to use.
  • Serve tea over ice and peach slices and ENJOY!

4 cups sweet tea (store-bought or homemade)
2 cups Peach Nectar, recipe follows
1 cup bourbon
4 lemon slices, for garnish
4 mint sprigs, for garnish
3 cups frozen peaches, thawed
2 teaspoons lemon juice
1 to 2 tablespoons granulated sugar, optional

Steps:

  • Stir together the tea, Peach Nectar and bourbon in a pitcher filled with ice. Pour into iced tea glasses filled with ice and garnish with a lemon slice and mint sprig.
  • Combine the peaches, 2 cups water, lemon juice and sugar (if using) in a blender and blend until smooth. Strain the peach nectar through a fine-mesh strainer. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.

Steps:

  • Mix 1 cup water, sugar, and peach slices together in a saucepan; bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium and simmer, crushing peach slices as you stir, until sugar is dissolved, about 5 minutes. Remove saucepan from heat, cover, and allow peaches to infuse syrup, about 30 minutes. Strain to remove peach slices.
  • Bring 6 cups remaining water to a boil in a separate pot. Remove from heat, add tea bags, cover, and steep for about 5 minutes.

2 quarts brewed tea
1 (15 ounce) can cling peaches in juice
1 (15 ounce) can water
1/4 cup sugar (optional)

Steps:

  • Make the tea in a 3 or 4 quart pitcher (or iced tea pot). Set aside.
  • Pour peaches and water into a blender.
  • Blend on high speed until well blended.
  • Add sugar and blend for a few more seconds.
  • Add more water until there is 1 quart.
  • Blend for a few seconds-- pulse.
  • Pour this mixture into the pitcher of tea and stir until well mixed.

8 black tea bags, preferably Lipton
2 pounds ripe peaches (6 to 8), peeled, pitted and coarsely chopped, or 2 cups peach juice (see Tip)
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice, plus more if needed
1 cup ice, plus more for serving
Granulated sugar, if needed
Fresh peach slices, for serving

Steps:

  • In a tea kettle or medium saucepan over high heat, bring 4 cups water to a boil. Remove from the heat and add the tea bags. Allow the tea to steep for 5 minutes.
  • While the tea steeps, purée the peaches, if using fresh fruit. Pulse in a food processor or blender until very smooth. You should have 2 cups.
  • Gently squeeze the concentrated tea from the bags and discard the bags. If using puréed peaches, pour the tea into the blender, add the lemon juice and purée until smooth. Transfer to a pitcher. If using peach juice, transfer the tea to a pitcher, and stir in the peach juice and lemon juice.
  • Add the ice to the pitcher, then taste. If it's too sweet, add more lemon juice, a couple of teaspoons at a time. If it isn't sweet enough, stir in sugar, 1 tablespoon at a time, until dissolved. Refrigerate until the tea is chilled throughout. Serve in a large glass filled with ice and garnished with peach slices.
