2 cups coarsely chopped fresh strawberries
2 scoops Emergen-C® Protein Fuel and Super Foods Mixed Berry
3 large ripe bananas, sliced and frozen

Steps:

  • Place strawberries and Emergen-C® Protein Fuel & Super Foods Mixed Berry in a blender or food processor. Process until pureed.
  • Add bananas and pulse until finely chopped. Blend until smooth. Serve immediately for soft-serve texture, or freeze for a few hours for a firmer consistency.

4 medium ripe bananas
1/2 cup fat-free plain yogurt
1 to 2 tablespoons maple syrup
1/2 cup frozen unsweetened raspberries
Fresh raspberries, optional

Steps:

  • Thinly slice bananas. Arrange in single layer on baking sheet; freeze overnight. , Pulse bananas in a food processor until finely chopped. Add yogurt, maple syrup and raspberries. Process just until smooth, scraping sides as needed. Serve immediately, adding fresh berries if desired.

A low-fat alternative to the usual soft serve. An ice cream maker is not needed. Because of its thickness, I have found that the Greek yogurt "Fage" works best. Also, if you add the juice, it is not recommended that you also add the vanilla, and vise-versa.

2 1/2 ripe mashed bananas
3/4 cup 1% low-fat milk
1/4 cup sugar
1/3 cup plain fat-free yogurt or 1/3 cup non-fat vanilla yogurt
1 tablespoon lemon juice (optional) or 1 teaspoon vanilla (optional)

Steps:

  • Put bananas in bowl and add lemon juice (this prevents the bananas from getting brown).
  • Mix in sugar.
  • Add milk, Greek yogurt, and vanilla. Mix.
  • Freeze until solid.
  • Defrost mixture just enough to where you can get it out of the bowl and break it into pieces.
  • Put the pieces in a blender or food processor and blend until smooth.
  • The mixture should have a soft serve texture. Serve immediately.
  • Note: You cannot store this ice cream.

1 cup banana (peel and chop bananas into 2-inch chunks and freeze)
1 -2 tablespoon raspberries (fresh or frozen)
1 tablespoon kefir or 1 tablespoon milk

Steps:

  • Put everything into mini food processor, pulse about 5 times to chop. Than blend for about 2 seconds at a time until consistency of soft serve. Add more kefir or milk if desired. in tiny amounts, 1 teaspoon at a time.
  • Remove food processor lid and blade. Use an oven mitt to hold the processor bowl, use a spoon to enjoy.
