2 (8-ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
1 (1-ounce) package ranch salad dressing mix
2 1/2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
1 1/2 cups chopped pecans

Steps:

  • In a medium size bowl, mash cream cheese. Mix dressing mix and Cheddar cheese into the cream cheese. Shape the mixture into a ball. Roll the ball in the chopped nuts. Refrigerate covered until ready to serve. Yum!

2 blocks (8 oz. each) Philadelphia Cream Cheese
1 pkg dry ranch dip mix
2 cups Kraft Sharp Cheddar Cheese
Pecans (optional)

Steps:

  • 1. Soften cream cheese to room temperature. In a large bowl slightly beat cream cheese. Add dry ranch mix and mix well with hand mixer. Add cheddar cheese and mix.
  • 2. Pour into one large bowl or mold, or into 2 cereal size bowls.
  • 3. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate an hour. Optional-after unmolding onto serving plate you can cover with chopped pecans.

1 (1 ounce) package dry ranch dressing mix (unsure of actual oz)
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
black pepper

Steps:

  • Soften cream cheese, stir in ranch mix and cheese until all combined.
  • Form into ball and roll in black pepper.
  • Place in fridge and chill overnight for flavors to combine.
  • Serve with crackers.

My mom made this cheeseball every Christmas when I was growing up. It is still one of my favorites! I am not sure of the ranch dressing's envelope size. I don't think it comes in multiple sizes though.

8 ounces cream cheese (softened)
0.5 (8 ounce) envelope ranch dressing mix

  • chill for 1 hour or until set.
  • roll in chopped pecans.

1 (1 ounce) envelope hidden valley ranch dressing mix
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese
1 cup finely shredded sharp cheddar cheese
1 cup finely chopped pecans or 1 cup bacon bits

Steps:

  • Allow cream cheese and cheese to come to room temperature.
  • Mix both cheeses and dressing mix with hand mixer until blended.
  • Put mixture out on plastic wrap or wax paper and shape.
  • Put pecans or bacon bits in large ziplock bag and carefully put cheese mixture in and roll it around to cover the outside with the nuts or bits.
  • Refrigerate over night and enjoy! Took only 5 minutes to make this and it was a big hit!

2 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese
1 (1 ounce) package hidden valley ranch dressing mix (dry)
1 cup colby-monterey jack cheese or 1 cup cheddar cheese
1 (3 ounce) bottle hormel real bacon bits (or use bacon crumbled)

Steps:

  • Take 2 packages of cream cheese (softened) and mix till slightly whipped.
  • Add packet of ranch dressing and mix till incorporated.
  • Fold in 1 cup shredded cheese.
  • Pour bacon bits in a plate or pie tin.
  • Form cream cheese mixture into a ball with your hands.
  • Roll ball in bacon bits till covered. Wrap cheese ball in plastic wrap and place in the fridge.
  • When cheese ball feels firm, remove and serve with crackers.

1 (1 ounce) envelope hidden valley ranch dressing mix
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/2 cup milk
10 ounces sharp cheddar cheese, grated
parsley or nuts

Steps:

  • Mix salad dressing mix double strength (using the 1/2 mayonnaise and 1/2 cup milk).
  • Blend in cream cheese with mixer.
  • Gently stir in cheddar cheese.
  • Form into a ball (If too soft place in freezer for a hour).
  • Garnish with poppy seeds, parsley, nuts, or your choice of topping.
  • Serve with crackers.
