1 cup almond milk
1 ripe banana
1/2 teaspoon freshly grated ginger
1/2 cup probiotic yogurt
1 tablespoon hemp seeds
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Ice cubes

Steps:

  • Start with preparing and measuring all the ingredients. I like to use measuring cups.
  • Peel and grate ginger root.
  • Take the blender and add all ingredients. Note: add wet ingredients first for easier blending.
  • Turn on the blender and mix at high speed until you get a smooth texture.
  • If the smoothie is too thick, add a little more liquid - milk or water. Blend again until the smoothie is smooth.
  • Taste the smoothie and add additional sweetener if you like. (See the "Sweetener recommendation" section for suggestions)
  • Transfer the smoothie into a smoothie glass.
  • Add toppings (optional): I used goji berries and bee pollen. Be creative here and add toppings you like.
  • Serve and enjoy!

Steps:

  • Blend or process the ingredients until smooth.
  • Note: Use frozen bananas - or add ice cubes to the blender - for a thicker smoothie. I'm reluctant to add ice cubes to my blender, and if the smoothie is not all being drunk at the time you make it, I'd advise against the ice blocks, because naturally they'll just make what's drunk later more watery! Add any other fruit, as takes your fancy!
