2 bottles red Spanish table wine
1 cup brandy
1/2 cup triple sec
1 cup orange juice
1 cup pomegranate juice
1/2 cup simple syrup, or more to taste (equal parts sugar and water, heated until sugar dissolves, cooled)
Orange slices
Apple slices
Blackberries
Pomegranate seeds

Steps:

  • Mix all ingredients together and let stand in a tightly sealed container or pitcher for at least 24 hours in the refrigerator before serving.

Steps:

  • In a large pot or bowl, combine the wine, brandy, orange juice, and sugar and stir until the sugar dissolves. Add the orange, lemon, and lime slices, the apples and refrigerate until well chilled, about 1 hour. Remove from the refrigerator and add the soda. Serve in glasses over ice.

1/2 medium orange ((rind on, sliced into small pieces, large seeds removed // plus more for garnish))
3-4 Tbsp organic brown sugar ((or 3 Tbsp (37.5 g) organic cane sugar as original recipe is written))
3/4 cup orange juice ((plus more to taste))
1/3 cup brandy ((plus more to taste))
750 ml bottle dry Spanish red wine*
~1 cup Ice to chill

Steps:

  • Add apples, oranges, and sugar to a large pitcher and muddle with a muddler or wooden spoon for 45 seconds.
  • Add orange juice and brandy and muddle again to combine for 30 seconds.
  • Add red wine and stir to incorporate, then taste and adjust flavor as needed. I added a bit more brandy, orange juice and brown sugar. Stir to combine.
  • Add ice and stir once more to chill. Serve as is, or with a bit more ice. Garnish with orange segments (optional).
  • Store leftovers covered in the refrigerator for up to 48 hours, though best when fresh.

1 bottle light red wine
5 tbsp caster sugar
ice cubes , to serve

Steps:

  • Cut 1 orange into thin slices and put into a pitcher. Juice remaining oranges, and pour into the pitcher along with the wine and sugar. Chill, then pack in portable sealed bottles or a jug and serve in ice-filled glasses. For a non-alcoholic drink, swap the red wine for grape juice.
