1 package (16 ounces) frozen cheese tortellini
1 small onion, chopped
2 tablespoons olive oil
3 garlic cloves, minced
1 can (14-1/2 ounces) diced tomatoes, undrained
1 package (10 ounces) frozen chopped spinach, thawed and squeezed dry
1-1/2 teaspoons dried basil
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1-1/2 cups heavy whipping cream
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Additional grated Parmesan cheese, optional

Steps:

  • Cook tortellini according to package directions. Meanwhile, in a large skillet, saute onion in oil until tender. Add garlic; cook 1 minute longer. Add the tomatoes, spinach, basil, salt and pepper. Cook and stir over medium heat until liquid is absorbed, about 3 minutes., Stir in cream and cheese. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, until thickened, 8-10 minutes. , Drain tortellini; toss with sauce. Sprinkle with additional cheese if desired.

1 lb cheese tortellini
2 cups broccoli florets, chopped
1 (28 ounce) can diced tomatoes
2 garlic cloves, minced
1/2 teaspoon oregano
1/4 teaspoon salt and pepper
1/2 cup green onion, minced
1/2 cup parmesan cheese, grated

Steps:

  • Cook tortellini in a large pot of boiling water until tender but firm (about 5 min).
  • Add broccoli and cook until tender (about 3 min).
  • Drain.
  • In a large saucepan or Dutch oven, combine tomatoes, garlic, oregano, salt and pepper.
  • Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer, stirring occasionally, until sauce has thickened slightly (about 10 min).
  • Add green onions and cook 2 more minutes.
  • Add sauce to pasta/broccoli mixture and toss together.
  • Sprinkle with Parmesan and serve.

The broccoli and tortellini start out frozen, and the tomatoes come from a can-but it all comes together deliciously in this awesome 20-minute pasta dish.

Number Of Ingredients 6

1 pkg. (9 oz.) refrigerated cheese tortellini, uncooked
2 cups frozen broccoli florets
1 can (14-1/2 oz.) Italian-style diced tomatoes, undrained
4 oz. (1/2 of 8-oz. pkg.) PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, cubed
1 tsp. dried Italian seasoning
1/4 cup KRAFT Grated Parmesan Cheese

Steps:

  • Cook pasta in large saucepan as directed on package, omitting salt and adding broccoli to the boiling water for the last 3 min.
  • Meanwhile, cook tomatoes in large skillet on medium heat 5 min. Add cream cheese and seasoning; cook 2 to 3 min. or until cream cheese is completely melted and mixture is well blended, stirring frequently.
  • Drain pasta mixture. Add to tomato mixture in skillet; mix lightly. Sprinkle with Parmesan.

1 1/4 lbs cheese tortellini, cooked
1/8 cup fresh parsley, chopped for topping
1/8 cup parmesan cheese, Freshly-grated for topping
1/4 cup olive oil
2 large garlic cloves, minced
2 cups plum tomatoes, peeled crushed drained (canned)
1 chicken bouillon cube, mashed
4 teaspoons dried basil
2 teaspoons chopped fresh parsley
1/4 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
2 cups heavy cream
4 tablespoons parmesan cheese, freshly-grated

Steps:

  • Prepare tortellini as directed on package.
  • Chop tomatoes in chunky pieces.
  • Blend bouillon with basil, parsley and pepper into the tomatoes.
  • Saute the garlic in olive oil until just white.
  • Add to the sauce and bring just to a simmer.
  • When sauce is hot, add the cream to a non-aluminum skillet and bring to a slow boil and add the hot tomato sauce and cheese.
  • Stir well and blend the tortellini into the pan of tomato basil cream sauce.
  • Serve, topped with parsley and cheese.

4 cups meat-filled tortellini (or cheese)
4 cups broccoli florets
2 cups spaghetti sauce, homemade preferably
4 ounces light cream cheese, at room temperature
2 tomatoes, coarsely chopped
1 pinch black pepper (to taste)
parmesan cheese, freshly grated

Steps:

  • Cook tortellini until cooked.
  • Cook broccoli florets in the microwave for 1 - 2 minutes, or until cooked.
  • In a large saucepan, heat spaghetti sauce over medium heat, Add Cream cheese and stir until melted. Stir in tortellini mixture, tomatoes and pepper to taste.
  • Serve with parmesan cheese grated on the top.
