GARLIC BREADCRUMB TOPPING FOR PASTA
Steps:
- Add the butter and oil to a pan over medium heat. When the butter melts, add the garlic and cook until fragrant, 1 to 2 minutes. Add the panko and cook until browned, 3 to 5 minutes. Serve over pasta.
SPAGHETTI STUFFED GARLIC BREAD
Steps:
- In a large skillet, on medium-high heat, place the olive oil. Once it is hot add the onions, garlic, italian seasoning, dried basil, salt, black and red pepper. Cook for 2 minutes.
- Once the onions and spices have started to soften, add the ground beef and cook for an additional 5-6 minutes or until the meat is no longer pink. Drain any excess grease from the cooked beef.
- Add the crushed tomatoes to the cooked beef and turn the heat to medium-low and simmer the sauce for 15-20 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Place a piece of aluminum foil onto a large baking sheet and set aside.
- While the sauce is simmering, remove your garlic bread from the package and allow it to thaw completely. Once thawed, cut your bread in half so that you have 4 equal sized portions. Place the pieces of garlic bread onto the prepared baking sheet garlic/butter side up.
- With a sharp knife, carefully cut a slit (following the shape of the bread) about ¼ inch from the sides of the bread. **Make sure you do not go all the way through the bread. You are wanting to create a border to hold the spaghetti and sauce in the bread boat**
- With the bottom of a large soup spoon, press down the center part of the garlic bread making sure to leave your ¼ inch border you created with your knife cut. *You should have created a garlic bread boat*
- In a large bowl add your, cooked & drained, thin spaghetti noodles with 4 cups of your sauce. Combine them so that all of your spaghetti noodles are coated with sauce.
- Divide your sauce coated noodles into 4 equal amounts and fill your garlic bread boats with the spaghetti. Make sure to keep your spaghetti neatly piled onto the garlic bread.
- Top each of your spaghetti filled garlic boats with a ¼ of the shredded mozzarella cheese.
- Bake for 25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and lightly golden. **If you want your cheese a little more golden, than you can turn on your broiler for 2-3 minutes or until desired doneness**

SPAGHETTI GARLIC BREAD RING
What could be more delish than spaghetti and garlic bread all in one bite? The recipe is super simple and a fave of the entire family! (ETA: Per the picture, I was using my baking stone for this recipe, but have found that a large, round pizza pan actually lets the bottom cook faster)

Steps:
- 1. Preheat oven to 375°
- 2. Cook the spaghetti per directions on the box. Drain, add a small amount of Extra Virgin Olive Oil (you don't want it to get too sticky) and let cool slightly.
- 3. Open containers of crescent rolls and lay out on a baking stone in a wreath pattern. (Be sure not to let the thickest part be too thick otherwise it is hard to get cooked all the way.) For a little extra delish, I use the Pillsbury Garlic Butter Crescent Rolls.
- 4. Neatly place spaghetti around the ring of crescent rolls.
- 5. Spoon sauce over spaghetti.
- 6. Top with mozzarella Cheese.
- 7. Close ring by folding the strips over the spaghetti and tucking them under.
- 8. Top with Parmesan cheese and garlic salt.
- 9. Bake in over per directions on crescent rolls - 375° for 11-13 minutes (When time is up, take it out and check the underneath...it may need a few extra minutes to be sure the bottom of the ring is done.)
- 10. Cool slightly and slice to serve.

SPAGHETTI WITH BROCCOLI RABE, TOASTED GARLIC AND BREAD CRUMBS
Broccoli rabe can take whatever you throw at it and still shine. Its mild but distinctive bitterness dominates almost anything you cook it with - but what's wrong with that? So a pasta sauce that features it teamed with garlic and chili flakes is a natural. Add bread crumbs for crunch and the dish is a real winner. You can use the same pot for cooking the broccoli and the pasta; you can use the same skillet for toasting the bread crumbs and finishing the dish. The whole thing will be done within 20 or 30 minutes, and it will showcase broccoli rabe beautifully, as it deserves.

Steps:
- Bring a large pot of water to a boil and salt it. Put 1/4 cup olive oil in a large skillet over medium-low heat. When oil is warm, cook garlic just until fragrant, 1 to 2 minutes. Add bread crumbs and red pepper flakes and cook until bread crumbs are golden, 5 minutes or so. Remove and set aside.
- Cook broccoli rabe in boiling water until it is soft, about 5 minutes. Remove with a slotted spoon, drain well and chop. Cook pasta in same pot.
- Meanwhile, add remaining oil to skillet over medium-low heat. Add broccoli rabe and toss well; sprinkle with salt and pepper. When it is warm add garlic and bread crumbs and mix well.
- When pasta is done, drain it, reserving a little cooking water. Toss pasta in skillet with broccoli rabe mixture, moistening with a little reserved water if necessary. Adjust seasonings and serve with freshly grated Parmesan.

PASTA WITH GARLIC OIL AND TOASTED BREAD CRUMBS
This recipe was in a 2000 Chef's Illustrated magazine. It's different than most pasta recipes with garlic oil, and so yummy! It takes a little longer to prepare, but it's worth it. Don't be afraid to toast the crumbs until dark brown. The crunchier the better!

Steps:
- Adjust oven rack to middle position, place large oven-safe serving bowl on rack, and heat oven to 200 degrees. Prepare pasta according to directions on package, reserving 1/2 cup pasta cooking water before draining.
- Heat butter in heavy-bottomed 10-inch skillet over medium-high heat until foaming. Add bread crumbs and cook, stirring frequently, until golden brown, toasted, and fragrant, 2 to 3 minutes. Transfer crumbs to small bowl and mix in cheese and 1/2 teaspoon minced garlic; set aside. Wipe out now-empty skillet with large wad of paper towels.
- Mix remaining minced garlic with 1 teaspoon water. Heat olive oil, garlic, and pepper flakes in cleaned skillet over medium heat until fragrant, about 2 minutes. Add vermouth, reserved pasta cooking water, remaining 1 teaspoon salt, and pepper to taste; cook to blend flavors, about 1 minute longer. Toss pasta and sauce in warm serving bowl; sprinkle bread crumbs over and serve immediately.
