SNOW PEA AND CARROT SAUTE
Another great recipe found in TOH Simple and Delicious. My daughters LOVE snow peas so this is a huge hit with them. Hope you enjoy it too.

Steps:
- In a large skillet, saute snow peas in butter for 3 minutes.
- Add carrots and garlic and continue to saute for 1-2 minutes longer or until veggies are crisp-tender.
- Add honey, salt and pepper and heat through. Serve immediately.

ASIAN COLE SLAW WITH SNOW PEAS
This is my version of a recipe from my Cuisinart food processor. Needless to say, that's what I use to make this.

Steps:
- Using the metal blade, chop ginger in food processor. Add remaining dressing ingredients except for oil and process. Slowly pour oil through feed tube and emulisfy.
- Set dressing aside and clean bown.
- Using the shredding blade, shred radishes and carrots. Replace blade with slicing blade and process cabbage.
- Mix all vegetables with peas and toss with dressing.

Steps:
- Core the cabbage and slice into fine long shreds.
- Preheat the oil over medium-high heat in a large heavy skillet.
- When hot add the cumin seeds and bay leaves, cooking for just a few seconds.
- Add the cabbage and peas, stirring to mix well.
- Add the turmeric and cayenne, mixing well.
- Cover and reduce heat to a simmer and cook for 5 minutes, or until vegetables are crisp-tender Add the chili, salt and sugar, stir to mix.
- Cover and cook an additional 2 minutes.
- Remove from heat, add the garam masala, stir gently to mix and serve.

- In a large saucepan of boiling water blanch snow peas 15 seconds and transfer with a slotted spoon to a bowl of ice and cold water to stop cooking. Drain snow peas well and slice thin diagonally. In a large bowl toss snow peas with remaining ingredients and salt and pepper to taste.
PICKLED NAPA CABBAGE, CARROTS, AND SNOW PEAS

Steps:
- Bring vinegar, sugar, ginger, salt, garlic, and cloves to a boil in a small saucepan, stirring until sugar is dissolved, then remove from heat and let steep, uncovered, 30 minutes. Discard cloves.
- While pickling liquid steeps, blanch carrots in a 6- to 8-quart pot of boiling salted water 30 seconds, then transfer with a large slotted spoon to a bowl of ice and cold water to stop cooking. Lift out carrots with slotted spoon and drain in a colander. Transfer to paper towels and pat dry.
- Blanch snow peas in same pot of boiling water 30 seconds, then transfer to ice water, drain, and pat dry in same manner. Cut each snow pea lengthwise into 4 strips.
- Blanch cabbage in same pot of boiling water 5 seconds, then transfer to ice water, drain, and pat dry.
- Just before serving, toss vegetables with pickling liquid and chile in a large bowl.
