1 teaspoon canola oil
1/4 cup hoisin sauce
1/4 cup ketchup
1 teaspoon low sodium soy sauce
1/2 teaspoon minced garlic (fresh or bottled)
1/8-1/4 teaspoon ground red pepper (for heat)
1 lb pork tenderloin, trimmed cut into 1/4-inch pieces
1 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons dark sesame oil
1/2 cup presliced button mushroom
1/2 cup presliced red bell pepper
1/2 cup sliced water chestnuts (I used canned)
1 teaspoon bottled ground fresh ginger (I used Spice World)
1/2 cup chopped green onion
1 teaspoon toasted sesame seeds

Steps:

  • Heat canola oil in a large nonstick skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  • Combine hoisin sauce and next 4 ingredients (through ground red pepper), stirring until blended; set aside.
  • Add pork to pan; sprinkle with black pepper and salt.
  • Cook 3 minutes on each side or until done.
  • Remove from pan.
  • Add sesame oil to pan.
  • Add mushrooms, bell pepper and ginger; stir fry 4-6 minutes or until bell pepper is tender and the liquid has evaporated.
  • Stir in onion, water chestnuts and pork.
  • Add hoisin mixture to pan; toss to coat.
  • Sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds.

2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1/4 teaspoon salt

1 medium onion, thinly sliced
1 medium carrot, julienned
1 garlic clove, minced
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 package (6 ounces) frozen snow peas, thawed
Boston lettuce leaves or hot cooked rice
Toasted sesame seeds, optional

Steps:

  • Cut the pork into 1/8-in. wide slices; cut each slice into 3-in. strips. In a bowl, combine the soy sauce, cornstarch, salt, sugar, ginger and cayenne. Add pork; toss to coat and set aside. , In a large skillet or wok, stir-fry onion, carrot and garlic in oil until crisp-tender. Remove with a slotted spoon and keep warm. , In the same skillet, stir-fry pork over medium-high heat until browned and no longer pink. Add onion mixture and peas; heat through. Serve in lettuce cups or over rice. Sprinkle with sesame seeds if desired.

1 pork tenderloin (about 3/4 pound), cut into 1/4-inch-thick strips
Kosher salt and freshly ground pepper
3 tablespoons cornstarch
2 cups fat-free low-sodium chicken broth
4 teaspoons vegetable oil
4 scallions, sliced (white and green parts separated)
1 2-inch piece ginger, peeled and minced
2 cloves garlic, minced
3 cups precut stir-fry vegetables (about 9 ounces)
Grated zest of 1 lime, plus wedges for serving

Steps:

  • Cook the noodles as the label directs, then drain and rinse under cold water. Meanwhile, toss the pork with 1/4 teaspoon salt, pepper to taste and 2 tablespoons cornstarch in a bowl. Whisk the chicken broth and the remaining 1 tablespoon cornstarch in another bowl.
  • Heat a large nonstick skillet over high heat. Add 1 teaspoon vegetable oil, then add the pork and stir-fry until lightly browned, about 5 minutes; transfer to a bowl. Add the remaining 3 teaspoons vegetable oil to the pan, then add the scallion whites, ginger and garlic; reduce the heat to medium and cook, stirring occasionally, 2 minutes. Stir in the vegetables and 3 tablespoons water and cook, stirring occasionally, until the vegetables are crisp-tender, about 4 minutes. 2 cloves garlic, chopped

1 lb pork tenderloin
1/4 cup oyster sauce
2 tablespoons plus 1/4 cup dry sherry or 2 tablespoons Chinese wine
2 teaspoons sesame oil
1 garlic clove, minced
1/8 teaspoon hot red pepper flakes
1 1/2 teaspoons corn or 1 1/2 teaspoons canola oil
4 scallions, trimmed, halved lengthwise and cut into 2-inch pieces
1 cup baby corn, each cob halved crosswise
1 1/2 cups sugar snap peas
2 cups sliced bok choy
1 cup sliced oyster mushroom
1 cup sliced shiitake mushroom
3 cups bean sprouts
2 tablespoons finely chopped cilantro

Steps:

  • Slice pork into strips about 2 inches long, 1 inch wide and 1/4 inch thick. Place in a bowl or sealable plastic bag, and add oyster sauce, 2 tablespoons sherry, sesame oil, garlic and red pepper flakes. Stir to coat well. Cover or seal, and allow to marinate at room temperature for 3 hours, or in refrigerator up to 24 hours.
  • Place a large wok or skillet over high heat, and add oil. Allow pan to heat for 1 to 2 minutes, then add pork and marinade. Toss meat until seared and no longer pink. Add scallions, corn and sugar snaps. Stir until sugar snaps turn bright green, about 1 minute.
  • Add bok choy and mushrooms, and stir constantly for about 1 minute. Add bean sprouts and remaining 1/4 cup sherry. Continue to stir until wine is almost evaporated. Transfer to a large platter, sprinkle with cilantro, and serve immediately.

1 lb boneless center cut pork chop, cut into thin strips
1/3 cup hoisin sauce
2 tablespoons fresh minced garlic

3 tablespoons low sodium soy sauce
1 tablespoon rice vinegar (do not use rice wine vinegar)

  • Stir in cooked pasta, pork and the remaining HALF of the hoisin sauce mixture; cook stirring for about 2 minutes or until completely heated through.

Steps:

  • Mix together the soy sauce, rice wine, sesame oil, five-spice powder, pepper and garlic.
  • Pour the mixture over the chops, cover and leave to marinate in the fridge for two hours.
  • Set the oven to 350°F
  • Cook the chops on a hot griddle pan for two minutes on either side until browned. Transfer to a roasting pan and roast for 10 to 15 minutes, basting the chops from time to time with the honey and water mixture.
  • For the stir fried vegetables, heat the peanut and sesame oils in a wok. Add the garlic, ginger, carrots, oyster mushrooms, pak choy and scallions and stir-fry for about two minutes or so.
  • Mix together the soy and oyster sauce, stir in the cornstarch and pour over the vegetables.
  • Finally, add the rice vinegar and stock, and cook for another couple of minutes until the sauce has thickened and the vegetables are glazed.
  • Serve the sticky chops with the crunchy vegetables and accompany with steamed rice.
