Steps:
- Step 1:Prepare a 20cm square baking tin, by lightly greasing it and lining it with baking paper.Step 2:In a heatproof bowl, heat the butter, golden syrup and 3 of the chopped Mars Bars until they have melted. Don't worry if the Mars Bars do not full melt at this point. Step 3:Add the Rice Krispies into the bowl and stir in with the remaining Mars Bar.Step 4:Pour the mixture into the baking tin and press down firmly (we used a potato masher for this)Step 5:In another heatproof bowl, melt the milk chocolate, stirring until smooth, then pour over the top of the Krispie mixture. Step 6:Moving quickly before the milk chocolate sets, melt the white chocolate and drizzle in lines up and down the surface of the Mars Bar slice. Using a skewer, drag forward and back through the mixture to create a feathered effect.Step 7:Place the baking tin in the fridge to chill and set. Remove a little while before you plan to serve so that it is easier to cut into squares.

- Pour into the tin, smooth the top and pop in the fridge while you melt the chocolate for the topping.
- Melt the milk chocolate in the microwave or in a heatproof bowl set over a pan of simmering water. Pour the melted chocolate all over the crispy cake. Decorate with chopped Mars Bar pieces if desired.

MARS BAR SLICE - A SUPER EASY TRAYBAKE RECIPE
Mars Bar Slice - or Mars Bar Traybake - ie set another one of those classic cakes you'll see in cafes across Scotland. We can't resist a slice whenever we see one (which is far too often!) so we decided to make our own. Mars Bar Slice is just two layers. One is melted Mars Bars mixed with Rice Krispies and butter, and the other is a layer of chocolate on top. That's it. It's that easy.

Steps:
- Grease and line a 20x20cm square tin with baking paper.
- Chop the Mars Bars into chunks approx. 1cm thick.
- Add the chopped Mars Bars and the butter to a large saucepan and heat on the low-medium temperate, stirring frequently until mostly melted. The nougat section of the Mars Bars will not melt completely but that's ok!
- Pour the Rice Krispies into the saucepan and stir well until completely coated in the Mars Bar mixture.
- Spoon the mixture into the prepared tin and smooth it out into an even, compacted layer with the back of a spoon.
- Melt the chocolate in the microwave in 30-second bursts, stirring in between.
- Pour the melted chocolate on top of the Rice Krispie layer and smooth it out to the edges.
- Place the tin in the fridge for at least 2 hours or overnight.
- Let the traybake come to room temperature again before slicing to prevent the chocolate layer from cracking when you slice it.
- Slice into 16 squares and enjoy!
