Steps:

  • Wash and peel the apples.
  • Cut each into thin slices, removing the seeds and the hard middle core.
  • Pour apples in a non-stick pot.
  • Add enough water to cover the apples, and bring to boil.
  • Cook over high heat for about 10 minutes.
  • Add sugar and cook for another 10 minutes.
  • Add rose-water and lime juice and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  • The mix should be quite thick when cooking is over.

1 cup old-fashioned oatmeal
2 1/2 cups water
1 pinch salt
1 medium apple, coarsely grated
1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
1/3 cup milk
1/2 teaspoon butter

Steps:

  • Combine the oatmeal, water and salt in a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil.
  • Add the grated apple and lemon juice and cook for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Add the milk and butter. Stir well and cook for 1 minute. Serve immediately, perhaps with a sprinkle of brown sugar or a drizzle of maple syrup.

2 cups crispy rice cereal, squares (such as Rice Chex)
2 cups sesame rice crackers, broken
1 cup tiny fat-free pretzel twists
3/4 cup wasabi peas
1/4 cup dry roasted salted peanut
3 tablespoons unsalted butter
1 tablespoon sugar
1 tablespoon curry powder
1 tablespoon low sodium soy sauce
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground red pepper
cooking spray

Steps:

  • Combine the first 6 ingredients in a large bowl; set aside.
  • Melt the butter in a small saucepan over medium heat.
  • Add sugar and remaining ingredients, stirring with a whisk.
  • Pour butter mixture over cereal mixture, tossing gently to coat.
  • Spread the mixture onto a jelly roll pan coated with cooking spray.
  • Bake at 200° for 45 minutes.
  • Cool completely before serving.

I'm almost embarassed to post this, but since it's my one of my DD's favorite dishes I thought I should post it maybe someone else will like it too. And maybe it's gonna help another mom with a picky eater. Change the quantities, I only guessed. I'm glad if my DD eats the tuna, so sometimes is less rice,sometimes more. She can't eat this much at once, maybe twice.
