1 cup Karo light or dark corn syrup
3 eggs
1 cup sugar
2 tablespoons butter, melted
1 teaspoon Spice Islands Pure Vanilla Extract
1 1/2 cups pecans
1 (9-inch) unbaked or frozen deep-dish pie crust

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°F.
  • In a mixing bowl, mix corn syrup, eggs, sugar, butter, and vanilla using a spoon. Stir in pecans. Pour filling into pie crust.
  • Bake on center rack of oven until center reaches 200°F and springs back when tapped lightly, about 55 to 70 minutes.

4 tablespoons butter
½ cup brown sugar
1 cup light corn syrup
3 eggs
⅛ teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup coarsely chopped pecans

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 450 degrees F (230 degrees C.)
  • In a large bowl, cream the butter and brown sugar. Beat in the corn syrup, eggs, salt and vanilla. Stir in the chopped pecans. Pour filling into pie shell.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 10 minutes. Reduce temperature to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C) and bake for 30 to 40 minutes, or until golden brown.

Steps:

  • Beat eggs, add sugar and karo and beat until well mixed.
  • Add butter, salt, vanilla and pecans.
  • Pour into unbaked pie crust.
  • Arrange whole pecan halves on top of pie.
  • Bake for 45 minutes in oven that has been preheated to 300 degrees.
