3 ingredient Caramel Rolls are easy to make using frozen cinnamon rolls! They're have decadent gooey caramel underneath!

12 Rhodes Frozen Cinnamon Rolls (with icing packets)
1 cup heavy cream
3/4 cup brown sugar (packed)

Steps:

  • Thaw rolls until they are soft, but not risen. Be sure to cover them with greased plastic wrap while they are rising.
  • Grease a half sheet baking pan with cooking spray.
  • Pour heavy cream in a half sheet baking pan. The cream should completely cover the bottom of the pan. Add a splash more if needed.
  • Sprinkle brown sugar over cream. Shake the pan a little and the brown sugar will settle a little bit.
  • Set the softened cinnamon rolls in the cream. Cover with plastic wrap. Let sit at room temperature until doubled in size and completely risen. It usually takes about two hours.
  • Bake at 350 degrees for 15-18 minutes.
  • Cool. Frost with icing packets included in the cinnamon roll package.

2 tablespoons butter, melted
⅔ cup brown sugar
½ cup chopped walnuts
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
⅓ cup heavy whipping cream
⅔ cup sifted confectioners' sugar
1 tablespoon milk, or more as needed
1 dash vanilla extract

Steps:

  • Lightly grease 2 round cake pans with butter.
  • Roll bread dough out to an 18x6-inch rectangle and brush with melted butter. Mix brown sugar, walnuts, and cinnamon in a bowl; sprinkle over dough. Roll dough into a log, starting at the long edge. Moisten edge with a little water; seal the edge. Cut log into 20 slices; arrange rolls, cut sides down, in prepared cake pans. Cover with a towel and let rise in a warm place until doubled in volume, about 1 1/2 hours.
  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Pour heavy cream over dough.
  • Bake in preheated oven until golden brown, about 25 minutes.
  • Stir confectioners' sugar, milk, and vanilla extract in a bowl until smooth, adding more milk or sugar as needed so the mixture is easily drizzled. Drizzle over warm cinnamon rolls to serve.

4 loaves rhodes white cinnamon roll dough
2 cups brown sugar
2 cups whipping cream
1/2 cup granulated sugar
3 tablespoons cinnamon
3 tablespoons Karo syrup

Steps:

  • Mix caramel mixture (brown sugar, syrup and cream) in saucepan; pour on bottom of two 9 x 13 inch pans (greased). Allow bread dough to thaw in original plastic bag. Let rise until dough has swelled the bag. Cut the package open and remove dough. Place dough on pastry sheet and roll 2 loaves at a time into rectangle, approximately 12 x 14 inches x 1/2 inch thick. Brush with melted butter, sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon. Roll and seal; cut into slices, approximately 1/2 inch thick. Place on top of caramel mixture. Let rise until double (approximately 30 minutes). Bake at 350-400 degrees; 20 to 30 minutes. Don't over bake as caramel will harden.

Superb company recipe as can be prepared the night before and the aroma in the morning will have everyone's mouths watering! You can serve them in the pan or flip over on a tray to show off the caramel topping!

1 cup white sugar, or to taste
2 tablespoons ground cinnamon, or to taste
2 (1 pound) loaves frozen bread dough, thawed
¼ cup butter, melted and cooled
1 cup brown sugar
¾ cup vanilla ice cream
½ cup butter

Steps:

  • Mix white sugar and cinnamon together in a small bowl.
  • Roll out 1 thawed loaf into a large rectangle. Brush half of the melted butter evenly over dough. Sprinkle half of the cinnamon sugar mixture over butter. Roll up dough into a log starting with the long edge closest to you. Cut log into 1-inch slices with a sharp serrated knife. Arrange slices cut-side up in an ungreased 9x13-inch baking pan.
  • Repeat step 2 with second thawed loaf.
  • Combine brown sugar, vanilla ice cream, and 1/2 cup butter in a small saucepan over medium heat; stir until melted and well-blended, 3 to 5 minutes. Pour caramel mixture over rolls in the baking pan. Cover with aluminum foil and refrigerate until rolls double, 8 hours to overnight.

1 loaf frozen white bread dough, thawed in refrigerator
Flour, for dusting surface
1 cup packed brown sugar
1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
2/3 stick butter, softened
1 stick unsalted butter, softened
1 cup powdered sugar
1/3 cup cream cheese
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
  • Roll out dough on a lightly floured surface to form a 15 by 7-inch rectangle. In a small bowl, combine brown sugar and cinnamon. Set aside. Spread 2/3 cup softened butter over dough and then evenly sprinkle with cinnamon-sugar mixture. Starting at the long edge, roll up dough as for a jelly roll. Cut roll into 16 slices and then set aside in a warm place and allow dough to rise until doubled in size, about 1 hour.
  • Divide rolls among 2 lightly buttered round baking pans. Bake for 15 minutes or until golden on top. While the rolls are baking, combine the icing ingredients with an electric mixer until fluffy. Frost the warm rolls with the icing. Serve warm.

Here is a recipe that I remember the most about my mom's baking. She has it committed to memory. I am glad I did get it out of her. It is a very easy recipe to make. I hope your family gets as much enjoyment out of it as mine does.

2 cups warm water (not hot)
2 (1/4 ounce) packages yeast (2 T bulk)
1/2 cup sugar
2 teaspoons salt
4 tablespoons butter (let sit out until soft)
1 egg
6 1/2 cups flour
cinnamon-sugar mixture
1 1/2 cups brown sugar
3/4 cup butter
3 tablespoons water

Steps:

  • Mix water and yeast and wait 5 minutes.
  • Stir in sugar, salt and 2 cups of flour.
  • Add egg and butter and mix.
  • Stir in rest of flour by hand, if dough is still sticky add just enough to make it not sticky anymore.
  • Let raise until dough is double in size.
  • Sprinkle flour on surface and roll dough out until is approx 18 X 12 inches.
  • Spread a very thin layer of soft butter on dough and sprinkle cinnamon/sugar mixture on it.
  • Roll dough from the long side, it should look like a log.
  • Cut into 1 inch pieces.
  • Should be 18 pieces.
  • Place brown sugar and butter into microwave dish and heat until butter is just melted; stir well.
  • Stir in 3 T water.
  • Divide mixture into 3 pans (8-inch cake pans).
  • Place 6 pieces in each pan.
  • Let raise for about 45 minutes.
  • Bake for 20 minutes in a 325°F oven.
  • When you take out of oven, turn each pan of rolls over on a plate, otherwise you will have a hard time getting them out when they cool.
  • If you can, let them cool slightly and enjoy them when they are still warm.

1/2 cup melted real butter
3/4 cup brown sugar

1/2 cup walnuts, chopped
1/4 cup raisins (optional)
1/2 cup caramel ice cream topping, divided

Steps:

  • The night before:.
  • Defrost dough and bring to room temperature
  • Grease a 9x13 pan and sprinkle a little brown sugar in the bottom.
  • Roll out the dough on a floured surface to about 1/4" thick (a long oval-shape is good).
  • Spread butter all over the surface of the dough.
  • Sprinkle buttered dough with brown sugar, cinnamon, walnuts and raisins.
  • Drizzle about half of the caramel topping over the dough.
  • Roll up the dough so it ends up as a long tube.
  • Slice the dough into 3/4" rolls and place in the greased pan.
  • SMASH the rolls down with the palm of your hand (you don't want them flat, just smushed).
  • Drizzle the remaining icecream topping over the rolls.
  • Spray saran wrap with cooking spray, cover the rolls tightly and place in the refrigerator overnight (they will rise slowly in the cold).

  • Preheat oven to 350*F.
