Categories     dessert

Time 14m

Yield 6 to 8 servings

Number Of Ingredients 4

3 cups milk
1/2 cup chocolate milk powder
2 tablespoons malted milk powder
2 tablespoons light corn syrup

Steps:

  • In a blender combine the milk, chocolate milk powder, malt powder, and corn syrup and blend well. Pour into a popsicle mold with lids, insert wooden sticks, and then freeze.
  • Notes about the recipe: Why buy these when they're so easy to make. And the kids can do it themselves, as long as you clean up the counter afterwards. Buy popsicle molds at specialty cookware shops or a large discount store like target in the summer. I used to ride my bike up town to the dairy store and buy these to keep me cool in the summer. We didn't have air conditioning so this was the alternative.

GREEK YOGURT FUDGE POPS

Greek Yogurt Fudge Pops image

These homemade fudge pops are low in calories and fat. They're also super creamy and chocolately.

Provided by Food Network Kitchen

Categories     dessert

Time 5h35m

Yield 8 pops (about 1/3 cup per pop)

Number Of Ingredients 7

8 ounces semisweet chocolate chips
1 1/2 cups 1-percent milk
1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
2 tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
Kosher salt
1 cup 2-percent Greek yogurt

Steps:

  • Put the chocolate chips into a medium glass mixing bowl. Set aside.
  • Combine the milk, cocoa powder, sugar, vanilla and 1/4 teaspoon salt in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Whisk constantly until the cocoa is dissolved and the mixture comes to a simmer, 5 to 7 minutes. Remove from the heat and pour the milk mixture over the chocolate. Let stand for 5 minutes, then whisk gently until all the chocolate is melted. Whisk in the yogurt until smooth and blended, then cool completely.
  • Divide the mixture evenly among eight popsicle molds (about 1/3 cup per pop) and freeze until solid, at least 5 hours. (They'll keep up to a month.) Just before serving, briefly run the molds under hot water to release the pops.

FROZEN FUDGE POPS

Frozen Fudge Pops image

These easy fudge pops, with a mix of cream and milk, combine the fun of an ice cream truck Popsicle with the sophistication of a rich chocolate ice cream touched with salt. The key is making sure the ingredients are well emulsified in a blender. These will melt quickly so enjoy them right out of the freezer.

Provided by Kim Severson

Categories     easy, snack, ice creams and sorbets, ice dishes, dessert

Time 10m

Yield 8 small pops, fewer if larger molds are used

Number Of Ingredients 7

6 ounces good-quality chocolate, at least 54 percent cacao
2 cups whole milk
1/2 cup cream
1/4 cup sugar
2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa
2 teaspoons vanilla
1/2 to 1 teaspoon kosher salt, to taste

Steps:

  • Break up chocolate and put into a blender. Bring milk, cream, sugar and cocoa to a light boil and immediately remove from heat. Pour milk over chocolate, add vanilla and salt and allow to sit for a few minutes to soften chocolate. Blend until chocolate and milk are emulsified and the mixture is smooth.
  • Pour into eight 3-ounce paper cups (there may be a little left over), or use ice pop molds. If using the small cups, place in freezer for about 1 hour before inserting wooden craft sticks so the sticks will stand straight.
  • Freeze well for 24 hours. Pops may be taken out of paper cups and stored in a heavy freezer bag.

Provided by Kittencalrecipezazz

Categories     Frozen Desserts

Time 18m

Yield 1 dozen pops

Number Of Ingredients 9

1/4 cup cornstarch
1/8 teaspoon salt
3 cups milk or 3 cups half-and-half
1/2 cup light corn syrup
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup milk chocolate chips
vegetable oil cooking spray, for plastic cups
12 disposable plastic cups (3-oz)
12 wooden popsicle sticks

Steps:

  • In a heavy-bottomed saucepan, combine the cornstarch and salt.
  • Gradually stir in milk (I prefer 1 cup half and half mixed with 2 cups whipping cream, so bottom of the pot will not scorch).
  • Stir in corn syrup and vanilla.
  • Bring to a boil; cook and stir for 1 min, or until thickened.
  • Reduce heat, stir in the milk chocolate chips until melted.
  • Pour in to cups (sprayed lightly with vegetable spray, I like Pam spray).
  • Cover each cup with heavy-duty foil; insert sticks through foil.
  • Place in a 13 x 9-in pan.
  • Freeze until firm.
  • Remove foil and cups before serving.

HOMEMADE FUDGE POPSICLES RECIPE BY TASTY

Homemade Fudge Popsicles Recipe by Tasty image

Here's what you need: sugar, cocoa powder, vanilla, whole milk

Provided by Julie Klink

Categories     Desserts

Yield 16 popsicles

Number Of Ingredients 4

2 cups sugar
¾ cup cocoa powder
1 teaspoon vanilla
6 cups whole milk

Steps:

  • Heat a pan over medium-high heat. Add the sugar, cocoa powder, vanilla, and milk, and whisk until smooth. Bring to a boil, then remove from heat.
  • Let the pan cool.
  • Line a loaf pan with plastic wrap, or use popsicle molds. Pour mixture into pan.
  • Freeze for about 5 hours, until firm enough to stick popsicle sticks in. Gently slide each popsicle stick into chocolate, leaving about 2 inches (5 cm) in between each stick. Continue with the next row. There should be about 8 sticks per row, 16 popsicle sticks total.
  • Continue to freeze for another 4 hours, until completely frozen.
  • Remove the loaf pan from the freezer, and pull the plastic wrap upward releasing the chocolate. You may need to use a spatula to help release chocolate from pan.
  • Slice and serve immediately.
  • Enjoy!
