Creamed Chipped Dried Beef On Toast or Waffles image

I've had this recipe for years given to me by my mother. I have to at least triple this when I make it. The recipe says 4 servings, but we like a lot on our toast. We love it for breakfast with fried eggs. Yummy! I also add ground black pepper to mine, but that's just how I like it. Cook and prep times are approximate.

Ingredients

1 jar dried beef
1 tablespoon flour
1 tablespoon butter or 1 tablespoon margarine
1 1/2 cups milk
4 -6 slices toast, buttered or not or 4 -6 waffles

Steps:

Put shredded beef in pan, sprinkle with flour, add butter, and slightly brown.
Add milk and stir until thick.
Serve on toast or waffles.
