1/2 lb extra-lean (at least 90%) ground beef
1 package (8 oz) sliced fresh mushrooms

3/4 cup marinara sauce
1/4 cup sliced turkey pepperoni (about 15 slices)
2/3 cup shredded part-skim mozzarella cheese
1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 450°F. Place pizza crust on rack in oven while oven preheats; heat 5 minutes.
  • Meanwhile, spray 12-inch skillet with cooking spray; heat over medium-high heat. Add beef and mushrooms; cook 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, or until beef is thoroughly cooked. Drain.
  • Remove crust from oven; place on ungreased cookie sheet. Spray crust with cooking spray; spread marinara sauce over crust, leaving 1-inch border. Top with beef mixture, pepperoni and cheese. Sprinkle with pepper flakes.

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°. Cook pasta according to package directions. , Meanwhile, in a Dutch oven, cook beef and onion over medium heat until meat is no longer pink; drain. Stir in mushrooms, tomato sauce, pizza sauce, tomato paste, sugar and seasonings. For people that are gluten-intolerant, low-carb, paleo, or whatever, it can be hard to go without pizza. This dish makes it a lot easier. It is made pretty much exactly the same as pizza, but with ground beef as the crust. Sounds weird at first, but it is absolutely delicious and very filling. This is something great to make ahead of time and then eat as leftovers later on. It's great hot or cold, just like pizza! I find that if you make 6 square slices, each slice is usually more than enough to fill you up. Feel free to add whatever toppings you normally eat on pizza. It will taste just as good!

1 teaspoon dried oregano

  • Mix together salt, caraway seeds, oregano, garlic salt, ground black pepper, and crushed red pepper flakes in a small bowl.

  • Grease a 13x9-inch baking dish.
  • Cook the gound beef in a medium skillet with the onions, green peppers, garlic, salt pepper until meat is browned and veggies are tender; drain fat, and mix in the Parmesan cheese.

Steps:

1/2 small onion, diced
1 (28 ounce) jar spaghetti sauce
1 (4 ounce) can tomato sauce (don't have to add but sometimes the noodles need more sauce)

2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded

16 ounces rotini or penne pasta (uncooked)
1 pound ground beef
salt and pepper (to taste)
½ tablespoon olive oil
½ cup onion
1 teaspoon minced garlic
24 ounces spaghetti or marinara sauce
1 tablespoon plus ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning (divided)
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese (divided)
1 cup pepperoni
fresh shredded parmesan cheese (for optional garnish)

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Spray a 9x13 pan with nonstick spray.
  • Cook pasta according to directions on the package for al dente, drain and set aside.
  • In a large skillet add the olive oil and cook the ground beef, onions and garlic, all seasoned with salt and pepper, until no pink remains in the meat. Drain any extra grease.
  • Add the spaghetti sauce and 1 tablespoon of Italian seasoning to the ground beef and stir to heat. Remove from heat.
  • Add the cooked pasta and 1 cup of mozzarella cheese to the meat and stir to mix.
  • Pour into the prepared 9x13 pan and spread evenly in the pan.
  • Top with remaining 1 cup of mozzarella cheese.
  • Lay the slices of pepperoni on top of the cheese.
  • Sprinkle with ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning.
  • Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, uncovered.

1 cup green bell pepper
seasoning salt

1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese, divided
1 (15 ounce) can tomato sauce
2 cups canned sliced mushrooms
2 -3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
2 eggs
1 cup milk
3 tablespoons oil or 3 tablespoons melted butter
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)

Steps:

  • Set oven to 350 degrees.
  • Grease a 13 x 9-inch bakin pan.
  • Brown the ground beef with onion, garlic, green pepper, salt and pepper until beef is no longer pink; drain fat.
  • Stir in 2 tablespoons flour, 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese and basil; mix well.
  • Add in tomato sauce; bring to a boil; cook stirring for 2-3 minutes.
  • Transfer the ground beef mixture to prepared baking dish.
  • Sprinkle mushrooms and then with mozzarella cheese.
  • At this point the casserole may be refrigerated and finished later.
  • Place the remaining 1 cup flour in a mixing bowl.
  • To the flour, add/whisk in eggs, milk, oil and salt until smooth; stir in 1/4 cup (or more if desired) cheese; mix to combine.
  • Pour over casserole.
  • Bake uncovered in a 375 degree oven for about 25-30 minutes, or until browned.

2 tablespoons olive oil
1 large sweet Vidalia onion, diced small
1 pound lean ground beef
1 teaspoon oregano
1 teaspoon kosher salt, or to taste
1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper, or to taste
2 cups pizza or marina sauce
16 ounces shredded mozzarella cheese
24 pepperoni
fresh parsley, optional for garnishing

Steps:

  • Preheat broiler to high and spray a 9×13-inch baking or casserole dish with cooking spray; set aside.
  • To a stockpot, cook the pasta according to the manufacturer's directions; drain and set aside.
  • While the pasta cooks, to a Dutch oven or other large pot, add the olive oil, onion, and cook over medium-high heat for about 4 to 5 minutes, or until the onion begins to soften; stir occasionally.
  • Add the beef, evenly sprinkle with the oregano, salt, pepper, and crumble beef as it cooks to encourage even cooking; stir frequently.
  • After the beef is cooked through, add the pizza sauce, cooked pasta, and stir very well to combine.
  • Transfer mixture to the prepared casserole dish, evenly top with the cheese, pepperoni, and broil for about 3 minutes, or until cheese has melted or is as browned as desired. Watch it very closely because cheese can burn extremely quickly under the broiler, sometimes in a matter of 15 seconds.
  • Optionally garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.

Family-friendly dinners don't get much easier than this 4-Ingredient Dump and Bake Pizza Casserole! There's no need to boil the pasta ahead of time, since all of the ingredients cook together in one dish!

1 (16 ounce) package uncooked elbow pasta
3 cups (about 25.5 ounces) marinara sauce
3 cups water
1 (5 ounce) package mini pepperoni, divided ((or substitute with regular or turkey pepperoni, chopped))
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup shredded mozzarella
Optional: Parmesan cheese and fresh chopped parsley or basil, for garnish

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 425 degrees F. Spray a 9 x 13-inch baking dish with cooking spray.
  • In the prepared baking dish (or in a separate bowl), stir together uncooked pasta, marinara sauce, water, about ¾ of the package of pepperoni, and salt. Cover tightly with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes.
  • Remove dish from oven, take off cover, and give the pasta a stir. At this point it should be almost done, but still a bit firm ("al dente").
  • Sprinkle mozzarella over the top and place remaining pepperoni slices on top of the cheese. Return the dish to the oven and bake, uncovered, for about 5-10 more minutes (or until cheese is melted and pasta is tender).
  • Garnish with optional grated Parmesan cheese and fresh herbs, if desired
