5 GREAT FOLDING CHAIR STORAGE IDEAS - MY BACKYARD LIFE

- Place Them in Your Shed or Barn. The most practical way to store your folding chairs will be to just place them inside of your shed or your barn. Assuming that you have a shed or barn on your property, you’ll be able to just place them somewhere inside these structures.
- Hang Your Folding Chairs on the Wall. Hanging your folding chairs on the wall could also be a great idea because they won’t be taking up any space on the floor.
- Use Folding Chair Storage Bags. It’s worth mentioning that some people have problems trying to store their folding chairs outside because of pests. You might live in an area that has a lot of animals and bugs and this could make it so that your chairs will get very dirty over time while in storage.
- Store Them Under Work Benches or Shelves. Sometimes it’s good to try to think outside the box when you’re storing various items. You already know that your storage shed or barn will be a good place to store your chairs but you might be working with limited space.
- Store Them Inside Your House. Finally, you could try to find some room in your home for your folding chairs if storing them outside is not going to work.

- Materials and Tools. It has been my experience with woodworking that there is never just one tool that can be used or just one way to put something together.
- Ripping the Lengths. The first step is to cleanly cut the ends off your boards using the miter saw. These ends are never quite square, will sometimes have grade markings on them and they are also pretty rough.
- Cutting the Pieces. This chair is, for the most part, just two pieces of wood repeated 17 times. There are the longer pieces that make up the sides that are 27" long and square on both ends.
- Drilling the Holes. The next step is to drill all of the holes. Each piece (side pieces as well as seat pieces) gets two holes drilled in them. All holes are 5/16" holes and measurements are on center.
- Sanding and Finishing. At this point the wood is ready for sanding and finishing. There isn't a whole lot of sanding to do, just clean up your saw marks a bit (I cut my pieces so that the saw marks don't face out on the chair, but will face another piece of wood, so they don't have to look perfect) and make sure all your edges are neat.
