SPINACH APPETIZERS
Instead of sausage balls, try these savory spinach treats -- they're great! The recipe was given to me while shopping by a lady at the grocery store. The formed balls may be stored frozen in airtight containers until ready for use.

Steps:
- Mix ingredients together. Chill 1 hour. Form into balls and bake at 350 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes.
- Notes:
- You can skip the garlic and thyme if you use Italian bread crumbs.
- Be sure to squeeze as much liquid out of the spinach as you can or they will fall apart. You can use a strainer and push it against the sides with you hands or a piece of cheesecloth and twist it tightly.
- I usually use the Kraft parmesan in the green can, but it works great with the fresh grated as well.

SPINACH BALLS
I got this recipe from my mother-in-law, who says these were my veggie-hating husband's favorite childhood snack. They are a great way to get kids to eat spinach!! Prep time includes chill time. This can be a little salty depending on the butter, cheese and bread crumbs you use, if you are concerned about saltiness use unsalted butter and garlic powder in place of the garlic salt. I have also made these with only 1/2 cup of melted butter (1 stick) and they are just as good but you need to spray the cookie sheet because they will stick.

- Fresh Spinach Guacamole. If you’re looking for a way to ease into spinach appetizers, fresh spinach guacamole is just the thing. Adding spinach makes your guac even healthier, but it doesn’t alter its taste.
- Mini-Spanakopita Triangles. I love spanakopita triangles so much that I regularly make them for lunch, dinner, or snacks – not just appetizers. The flaky, crispy phyllo dough gives them a delightful texture, and the feta cheese and dill provide a bright, tangy flavor.
- 3-Ingredient Spinach and Artichoke Dip Pinwheels. If you’re looking for something quick and easy, you can’t go wrong with these three-ingredient pinwheels.
- Rainbow Veggie Pinwheels. Rainbow veggie pinwheels are excellent, too, and they’re a lot of fun because of all their colors. I use spinach herb or sun-dried tomato tortillas for extra vibrancy.
- Spinach Balls Appetizer. These interesting green balls may be small, but they have a ton of flavor. They’re incredibly herb-flavored, and they’ll have a slight crunch, thanks to the breadcrumbs.
- Applebee’s Spinach Artichoke Dip Recipe. Of all the spinach artichoke dip varieties out there, Applebee’s dip is probably the best. It’s so creamy and cheesy, and the balance of spinach, artichokes, and garlic alfredo is perfect.
- Spinach Puffs. It’s hard to know what to like best about spinach puffs – the warm, buttery puff pastry shell, the salty bacon, the tangy feta, or something else.
- Mini Spinach and Ricotta Calzone Bites. You can whip up a batch of mini spinach and ricotta calzone bites in just 20 minutes with only seven ingredients.
- Spinach-Stuffed Mushrooms. Stuffed mushrooms are always a big hit when it comes to appetizers, and you can whip up a dozen in less than 30 minutes, so they’re kind of awesome.
- Ham & Cheese Hot Spinach Dip. This dip is for anyone who loves cheesy spinach dip but also needs some meat in their appetizers. It’s a simple one to pull together.
