FAST AND EASY PIZZA FONDUE

Fast and Easy Pizza Fondue image

This is like a deconstructed pizza!! Its really fun for a party (just double recipe) or one of those nights when everyone is busy and don't get a chance to eat at a "normal" time. I, personally, like to use garlic bread for dipping; but you can certainly use any tip of crusty bread. I would suggest adding any of your favorite pizza toppings. Enjoy!!

Provided by Good Food team

Time 35m

Number Of Ingredients 7

180g soft cheese
10g grated parmesan or vegetarian Italian-style hard cheese
100g grated mozzarella, or grated mozzarella & cheddar mix
olive oil, for the dish and for drizzling
200g pizza sauce or passata
7-8 slices pepperoni (optional)
garlic bread, crostini or breadsticks, to serve

Arrange the pepperoni on top, if using, and drizzle with a little olive oil. Can be made up to two days ahead, covered and chilled until ready to cook.
  • Heat the oven to 200C/180C fan/ gas 6. Bake the dip for 25-30 mins, or until bubbling and golden. Meanwhile, cook the garlic bread following pack instructions, if using. Leave the dip to cool slightly, then serve with the garlic bread, crostini or breadsticks for dipping.

PIZZA 'FONDUE' -- FUNDIDO--

Pizza 'fondue' -- Fundido-- image

So easy and yummy. Kid and hubby pleasing comfort food in minutes! Faster even than making pizza or waiting for delivery! Makes a great appetizer or even a very satisfying meal! Make as healthy- or unhealthy- as you like! Add anything to the sauce - meat, veggie, etc... Very versatile and quick! We love to make it spicy by adding dried hot pepper flakes, jalapenos, green chilis or cayenne etc... World Tour Italy and Mexico/Tex/Mex/SW This can obviously be adjusted to be Italian or Tex/Mex by the additions used. FUNDIDO (melted cheese) is a popular appetizer in Tx/Mx cooking. To keep this more 'traditional' Mexican use Mexican oregano instead of Italian seasoning and Mexican cheeses like pepper jack or queso quesadilla and bolillos- Mexican crusty rolls. You could even add some cooked chorizo. To make it Italian- use the Italian seasoning and add any 'pizza' type toppings you like.
