SLOW-COOKER BARBECUE RIBS
Yes, you can cook ribs in a slow cooker! In this easy recipe, the seasoning paste transforms into a savory dipping sauce. Slather it on the ribs and pop them on the grill just before serving for a final char.

Steps:
- Whisk the tomato paste, brown sugar, vinegar, chili powder, mustard, garlic, paprika, Worcestershire, 1 1/2 tablespoons salt and 1 teaspoon pepper in the insert of a 6-quart slow cooker until smooth. Cut each rack of ribs in half and add to the slow cooker. Use your hands to rub the sauce on to the ribs. Cover with a lid and cook on low heat until tender, about 4 hours.
- Gently transfer the ribs to a baking sheet and cool for at least 20 minutes; this will help maintain the shape of the ribs as they grill. Whisk the sauce at the bottom of the slow cooker until smooth. Reserve 1/4 cup of the sauce to brush on to the ribs and save any remaining sauce to serve on the side (it will thicken as it cools).
- Preheat a grill or grill pan to medium-high heat. Lightly oil the grates. Grill the ribs, top-side down, until lightly charred in parts, 3 to 5 minutes. Flip, brush the top side of the ribs with the reserved barbecue sauce and grill until the underside of the ribs are lightly charred in parts, 3 to 5 minutes. Remove to a platter and serve immediately with the extra barbecue sauce on the side.
CROCK-POT RIBS
Ribs are easy to cook in a crock-pot, but a lot of people make the mistake of letting them get mushy. This recipe shows you how to make your ribs fall-off-the-bone tender while keeping a glaze on the surface.

Steps:
- Combine rub ingredients, mixing thoroughly.
- Rub on all sides of ribs.
- Wrap ribs in plastic wrap several times and place in refrigerator overnight.
- Cut ribs into sections of 2-3 ribs.
- Brush the meaty side of each rib section with barbecue sauce.
- Arrange ribs on their sides in crock-pot. Place a layer of 4 bacon strips between the bottom layer of ribs and the top layer. Place the remaining bacon strips over the top. The goal is to not cover the meaty part of the ribs with the bacon, but instead to impart the bacon flavor into the ribs.
- Cover; cook on low for 9 hours.
- Remove ribs from crockpot and drain the juices.
- Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
- Place the ribs on cooking sheets and reapply a layer of barbecue sauce to the ribs.
- Cook ribs in oven for 3-5 minutes to get a glaze on the surface.
- Remove ribs from oven and serve, or place back in crockpot to keep warm.

SLOW COOKER BABY BACK RIBS
These are the best I've had, short of the actual grilling method of course! This is a very simple recipe that I came up with a few years ago. It's not rocket science, just ribs cooked in the slow cooker and finished in the oven. This is what I do when I want ribs during the week and have to work all day. I'm eating them within a half-hour of getting home, and they turn out perfect every time!

Come sunshine or rain, there will never be a time that's not perfect for slow-cooked barbecue ribs-especially when the slow cooker does all the cooking. This mouthwatering crowd-pleaser is cut out for weekends and game days but also works as a comforting mid-week main. Simply do the prep ahead, add it in the cooker, and step back while deliciousness happens.

ASHLEY'S CROCK POT PORK RIBS

Steps:
- Cut ribs into individual pieces.
- Mix soy sauce, worcestershire sauce and olive oil together. Pour over ribs and mix to make sure each rib is coated.
- Season to taste with salt, pepper, garlic and onion powder. Be careful with the salt since soy sauce is naturally salty.
- Cook in crock pot on low 8-10 hours or high 4-6 hours.
- Optional: Remove from crock pot (store liquid as stock if you like, otherwise discard) and coat ribs with your favorite sauce. Bake in 350 degree oven for about 20 minutes. I have found the ribs taste great either way.

BEST CROCK-POT BBQ RIBS
This recipe is a combination of other crock pot rib recipes that I have found and tried. It seems that the key to making them "non greasy" is the two-step process described here. They are a hit at every gathering, and so tender they fall off the bone!

Steps:
- Cut each rack of ribs in half to more easily fit into the crock pot. Rub both sides of the ribs with generous portions of the rib rub.
- If you have time, refrigerate the ribs with the rub for 2-3 hours. If not, just place directly in the crock pot.
- Cook on low, 5-7 hours, until desired consistency (try to avoid having them totally fall apart as they will be more difficult to handle in the next step.).
- Remove ribs from the crock pot. Place on foil-covered cookie sheet. Baste both sides of ribs with sauce. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
