CREAMY HERB DRESSING
This takes the basic ranch salad dressing one step further by incorporating a generous quantity of fresh herbs. Use a homemade mayonnaise if you like, but Hellmann's works quite well here.

Steps:
- In a food processor, combine the dill, parsley, thyme, and chives with the mayonnaise; process until the herbs are chopped. With the motor running, slowly pour in the buttermilk and then add the vinegar, salt, pepper, and hot sauce. Taste and adjust seasoning. Pour into a bottle or jar and refrigerate for up to 2 weeks.

PASTA SALAD WITH CREAMY HERB DRESSING
Creamy pasta salad with lots of flavor from all the fresh ingredients. I made it for a family potluck and it was a big hit, everyone loved it. The veggies can easily be substituted for whatever kind you like or have on hand. This just happened to be what I had in my fridge the day I made it.

Steps:
- To make dressing: Combine milk, mayonnaise, mustard, garlic, salt and pepper, stirring until smooth. Stir in finely chopped herbs. Gradually whisk in vinegar. Let stand for 10 minutes or until pasta is ready.
- To make salad: In large pot of boiling water, cook fusilli according to package. Drain pasta and rinse under running cold water until cool. In large bowl, combine pasta, veggies and dressing. Toss to coat and sprinkle with green onions. Allow to cool in refrigerator for at least 1 hour.

Steps:
- Coat chicken breasts with the onion and garlic powders and herbs. Season generously with salt and pepper.
- Heat 1 tablespoon of oil a large pan or skillet over medium-high heat and cook chicken breasts until opaque and no longer pink inside (about 5 minutes each side, depending on thickness). Transfer to a plate; set aside.
- To the same pan or skillet, heat another 2 teaspoons of olive oil and sauté garlic, with parsley, thyme and rosemary, for about 1 minute, or until fragrant.
- Stir in milk (or cream); season with salt and pepper, to taste.
- Bring to a boil; add the cornstarch mixture to the centre of the pan, quickly stirring, until sauce has thickened slightly. Reduce heat and simmer gently for a further minute to allow the sauce to thicken more.
- Return chicken to the skillet. Sprinkle with extra herbs if desired. Serve immediately.

CREAMY FRESH HERB SALAD DRESSING
I started an herb garden this spring and made cuttings to get the plants more sun. Thus, I had to quickly find a way to use the fresh herbs, or freeze them. This dressing works great with salad greens, and if you are like me, you are not beneath looking for a snack in the middle of the night, armed with saltine crackers to dip into something.

This is a super easy salad dressing I found it in Everyday Food. It's suprisingly creamy given that there's no cream, buttermilk, or mayonaise in it. I highly recommend it. It's easily doubled or tripled as well.
