A delicious and healthy snack made with just four simple ingredients. A great alternative to ice cream for kids and perfect for the summer!

500g / 2 cups full fat greek yogurt
2 tbsp honey
4 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
2 ripe bananas

Steps:

  • Mix the yogurt, honey and cocoa powder together in a bowl until well combined.
  • Chop the banana into round bite sized slices.
  • Pour half of the yogurt mixture into a dish lined with parchment paper. Add a layer of banana on top. Spread the remaining yogurt on top and then finish with more banana slices.
  • Freeze for 2 to 3 hours or overnight until solid.
  • Remove from the freezer and cut into chunks with a sharp knife.
  • Serve immediately or put the pieces of bark into a freezer bag and store in the freezer for up to 2 months.

1/4 cup sugar
1 1/2 cups evaporated milk, fat free
1/4 cup corn syrup, light
8 ounces plain yogurt, fat free
1 banana, mashed

Steps:

  • In medium saucepan over medium heat, stir together cocoa and sugar.
  • Stir in evaporated milk.
  • Stir constantly until sugar is dissolved.
  • Remove from heat and stir in corn syrup.
  • Cool completely.
  • Add yogurt and banana, stir with whisk until blended.
  • Refrigerate several hours until cold.
  • Pour mixture into 1 quart ice cream machine.
  • Use manufacturer's directions to finish it off.

8 medium bananas, peeled
8 wooden popsicle sticks
32 ounces semisweet chocolate, chopped or chips
4 tablespoons unsalted butter

Steps:

  • Dipping decorations: granola, chopped nuts, sprinkles, jimmies, crushed cookies, and toasted coconut
  • Line a sheet pan with waxed paper. Cut 1-inch off the end of each banana. Insert a popsicle stick into the cut-end of each banana, pushing the stick halfway in, leaving the other end exposed for use as a handle. Place the bananas on the sheet pan and freeze 1 hour.
  • Melt the chocolate and butter in a bowl over a saucepan of simmering water, stirring occasionally.
  • Arrange the dipping decorations on several flat plates. Working with 1 banana at a time, dip it in the chocolate and turn to completely coat (spoon some on, if needed). Roll the dipped banana in the desired decorations, transfer to the sheet pan, and return to the freezer.
  • Once frozen, store the bananas in an airtight container.
  • Serving suggestion: To serve at a kid's party, paint a hunk of styrofoam and stick the banana handles in the top, so they stand upright.

  • In a tall glass or mixing cup, add Greek yogurt and almond milk, and mix together. If the texture is too thick, add more almond milk until the coating is silky.
