BLACK WALNUT BROWNIES
These brownies, studded with big chunks of black walnuts, are crisp on top and chewy inside. Our friends have given this treat rave reviews, especially those in areas where black walnuts are hard to come by.-Catherine Berra Bleem, Walsh, Illinois

WALNUT BROWNIES
I LEARNED to make these brownies in 1957 in home economics class. They were the first goodies I'd ever baked by myself. Now, 40 years later, I still make a batch occasionally. The recipe calls for basic ingredients on hand in most every kitchen, and the rich chocolate flavor is delicious. -Lorraine Silver, Chicopee, Massachusetts

APPLE BROWNIES
This was my Mom's recipe. Easy and quick to make. Apples and walnuts are packed into a cinnamon spiced blonde brownie. Always a hit when I bring it to parties. Very moist and great to make in the fall when apples are plentiful.

BLACK WALNUT BROWNIES
One of my favourites when I went to Grandmama's home for the holidays. She always had a tiny glass of wine waiting for me along with these brownies. Grandmama has passed now and I don't get back to France as often as I wish now, so in tribute to her " Pour que tu saches. C'est un petit message qui leur permettra de savoir que jamas tu ne les oublieras !"
