Time 35m

Yield 6 servings

Number Of Ingredients 15

12 slices applewood smoked bacon or other thick-cut bacon
12 (U-10 size) sea scallops
2 tablespoons Essence, recipe follows
1/2 teaspoon salt
12 (6-inch) bamboo skewers, soaked in warm water for about 30 minutes
Freshly ground black pepper

1 tablespoon cayenne pepper
1 tablespoon dried oregano
1 tablespoon dried thyme

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  • Preheat a grill to medium-high heat.
  • Season the scallops on all sides with the Essence and salt. Wrap each scallop in 1 piece of the bacon, securing it through the center with a bamboo skewer. Repeat with the remaining scallops.

Transfer to a platter and sprinkle with freshly ground black pepper to taste. Garnish each scallop with a dab of the butter and serve immediately.

¾ cup maple syrup
¼ cup low sodium soy sauce
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
12 large sea scallops, halved
12 slices smoked bacon, halved
24 toothpicks

Our Grilled Shrimp and Scallop Kabobs are out of this world! Shrimps and scallops infused with wonderful citrus flavors from lemon and lime mixed with Worchestershire sauce, then grilled to perfection, making this kabob BEST tasting EVER!

Provided by 2 sisters recipes

Categories     Seafood Recipes

Time 13m

Number Of Ingredients 12

30 Large Shrimps, peeled and deveined -(you can use frozen)
30 Sea Scallops
1/2 cup of Smart Butter or Olive Oil
6 Tbsp. lemon juice
6 Tbsp. lime juice
2 tsp. garlic powder
1 tsp. paprika
1 tsp. sea salt
1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper
1/4 tsp. fresh black pepper
5 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce ( Lea & Perrins)
12 to 15 (or more) wooden 8" kabob sticks

Steps:

  • Soak wooden kabob sticks in water for one hour. Remove, let dry.
  • Place shrimp and scallops in a reusable plastic bag, then insert them into another plastic bag to prevent leakage.
  • In a large bowl, combine all ingredients and microwave for 1-2 minutes or until the butter is melted.
  • Stir and set aside about 1/3 of the juice for basting.
  • Pour the remaining marinade over the shrimp and scallops.
  • Seal bag and refrigerate for one hour or overnight, turning bag over occasionally.
  • Drain and discard the marinade - you will notice that some of the juice has hardened because of the butter...This is how it is supposed to look.

Simple bacon wrapped scallops are grilled on the Traeger pellet grill until they are crisp, tender, and delicious.

Provided by Nicole Johnson

Categories     Traeger Recipes

Time 35m

Number Of Ingredients 3

1 pound large sea scallops
1/2 pound bacon
sea salt

Steps:

  • Preheat your pellet grill to 350-375° according to factory instructions.
  • Dry your scallops on paper towels until they no longer have excess moisture.
  • Wrap in a cut piece of bacon and secure with a toothpick.
  • Lay the scallops bacon-side-down on the grill. Shut the lid and cook for 5-7 minutes, and then rotate. You want to work your way around the bacon so all the sides are evenly cooked. Keep the scallop on the bacon side during the whole cook. You won't get grill marks on your scallops, but you will get crispy bacon and tender scallops, so WIN WIN.

12 jumbo raw peeled deveined shrimp, 16 to 20 count per pound
12 large sea scallops, trimmed and well drained
1 lime, juiced and zested
1 tablespoon toasted sesame oil
1 tablespoon grill seasoning or coarse salt and black pepper
