The combination of salty bacon with rich chocolate sounds strange but is surprisingly delicious.

¼ pound bacon, cut into 1/4-inch dice
2 tablespoons honey
½ cup melted butter
1 cup brown sugar
¼ cup white sugar
1 ½ teaspoons vanilla extract
2 eggs, lightly beaten
¾ cup all-purpose flour
½ cup cocoa powder
½ teaspoon salt
½ cup chocolate chips

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease an 8-inch square baking dish.
  • Fry bacon in a skillet over medium-high heat until nearly crisp, about 5 minutes. Add honey and stir until the foaming subsides. Remove the bacon with a slotted spoon to a plate to cool.
  • Mix melted butter, brown sugar, white sugar, and vanilla extract in a large bowl; mix in eggs.
  • Sift flour, cocoa powder, and salt together in a bowl; add to the egg mixture. Fold bacon and chocolate chips into the mixture; pour into the prepared baking dish.
  • Bake in the preheated oven until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean, 25 to 35 minutes. Allow brownies to cool for 20 minutes before cutting into squares.

1 (12 fl oz) can caffeinated pepper-type soda (such as Dr Pepper®)
1 cup butter
12 strips bacon, chopped
2 cups all-purpose flour
2 cups white sugar
¼ cup cocoa powder
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon salt
½ cup buttermilk
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 (12 ounce) bag milk chocolate chips
½ cup butter
3 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
1 (16 ounce) package confectioners' sugar

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 12x18-inch pan with cooking spray.
  • Combine 1 cup pepper-type soda and 1 cup butter in a saucepan over medium-low heat; heat until butter is melted, 3 to 5 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool.
  • Place bacon in a large skillet and cook over medium-high heat, turning occasionally, until evenly browned, about 8 minutes. Drain on paper towels.
  • Mix flour, white sugar, 1/4 cup cocoa powder, cinnamon, and salt together in a large bowl.
  • Whisk buttermilk, vanilla extract, and baking soda together in a small bowl. Pour flour mixture; mix until batter is blended. Add butter mixture, 1/3 of the bacon, and chocolate chips; mix thoroughly. Spread in the prepared pan.
  • Bake in the preheated oven until top is dry and edges have started to pull away from the sides of the pan, 25 to 30 minutes.
  • Combine 6 tablespoons pepper-type soda, 1/2 cup butter, and 3 tablespoons cocoa powder in a saucepan; bring to a boil. Remove from heat. Add 1/2 of the remaining bacon and confectioners' sugar; whisk until frosting is smooth.
  • Spread frosting over brownies. Garnish with remaining bacon. Cool until frosting sets, about 20 minutes. Cut into squares.

Nonstick cooking spray, for the parchment
8 slices bacon
2 sticks (1 cup) unsalted butter
2 cups sugar
3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
4 large eggs
1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 1/2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
2 1/2 cups lightly crushed potato chips with ridges

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Line a 9-by-13-inch baking pan with parchment, leaving a 3-inch overhang on all sides. Spray the parchment with cooking spray.
  • Put the bacon in a cold, medium skillet, then turn the heat to medium high and cook, stirring often, until very crispy, about 10 minutes. Drain on paper towels and crumble. Reserve the fat in the skillet.
  • Melt the butter in the skillet with the bacon fat over medium heat. Add the sugar and stir until starting to dissolve, about 1 minute.
  • Beat together the cocoa powder, vanilla, baking powder, salt and eggs in a large bowl until smooth, then beat in the butter mixture. Add the flour and stir until just incorporated. Stir in the chocolate chips, half of the bacon and 1 cup of the potato chips. Scoop into the prepared baking pan and smooth with an offset spatula. Sprinkle with the remaining bacon and chips, pressing them lightly onto the surface of the batter.
  • Bake until a toothpick inserted in the center of the brownies comes out with a few crumbs adhering, 25 to 30 minutes. Cool in the pan, then transfer to a cutting board and cut into 16 squares.

2 -3 tablespoons Bourbon
3 tablespoons butter, softened
1 1/2 cups sifted powdered sugar
2 -3 teaspoons milk

1 ounce semisweet chocolate, melted

Steps:

  • Grease an 8x8x2-inch baking pan;set aside;Heat oven to 350 degrees.
  • In a medium saucepan, combine the 1/3 cup butter, sugar and water; cook and stir over medium heat just until boiling, remove from heat, add the 1 cup of chocolate pieces; stir until chocolate is melted.
  • Stir in eggs and vanilla, beating lightly with a spoon until combined; stir in flour, baking soda and salt; stir in pecans.
  • Spread batter into prepared pan;Bake at 350 degrees about 20 minutes or until edges are set and begin to pull away from the sides of pan.
  • Using a fork, prick the warm brownies several times, Drizzle BOURBON evenly over brownies; cool in pan on wire rack.
  • For frosting; In a small mixing bowl beat the 3 tablespoons butter with an electric mixer on medium to high speed for about 30 seconds; gradually add powdered sugar, beating well, slowly beat in 2 teaspoons of the milk and the vanilla; if necessary, beat in remaining milk to reach spreading consistency, spread over brownies;Melt chocolate; drizzle melted chocolate over frosting.

1 (20 ounce) box brownie mix (Betty Crocker Dark Chocolate)
water (amt on box)
vegetable oil (amt on box)
1 egg
1/2 cup bacon, cooked crumbled
3 tablespoons Bourbon
1/4 cup Bourbon (reserve for end)

Steps:

  • Follow directions on back of brownie box regarding baking using an 8 x 8-inch pan.
  • Prepare brownie mix according to package instructions. Fold in crumbled bacon and stir in 3 tbsp bourbon.
  • Pour brownie batter into a lightly greased 8 x 8-inch pan. Bake as directed on package or until a toothpick inserted two inches from the edge of the pan comes out mostly clean.
  • Remove brownies from oven and immediately pour 1/4 cup bourbon on them. Cool in refrigerator completely before slicing and serving.

1/4 cup water
3 tablespoons canola oil
1 large egg, room temperature
1/4 teaspoon ground chipotle pepper
1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1 cup marshmallow creme
1 cup hot caramel ice cream topping
6 whole graham crackers, coarsely chopped
Coffee ice cream, optional

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 425°. Place a wire rack in a 15×10x1-inch baking pan. Place bacon strips in a single layer on rack. Bake until crisp, about 20 minutes. When cool enough to handle, chop bacon; set aside. Reserve 2 tablespoons drippings., Reduce oven setting to 325°. Line an 8-in. square baking pan with foil, letting ends extend up sides; grease foil. In a large bowl, combine brownie mix, water, oil, egg, chipotle powder and reserved bacon drippings. Stir in chocolate chips and half the chopped bacon. Transfer to prepared pan. Swirl in caramel packet included with brownie mix. Bake and cool as package directs., Serve brownies with marshmallow creme, caramel, graham crackers, remaining bacon and ice cream, if desired.

1 Tbsp. HEINZ Balsamic Vinegar

Steps:

  • Cook bacon in skillet just until crisp, stirring frequently; drain. Prepare brownie batter as directed on package. Stir in half the bacon; pour into 13x9-inch pan sprayed with cooking spray.
  • Bake as directed on package. Cool.
