Who said good health bread can't taste good. This bread has everything including flavor. The recipe makes a large loaf. This recipe comes from Electric Bread. Makes 1 2 pound loaf of bread

1 1/2 cups water
2 cups bread flour
3/4 cup whole wheat flour
1 tablespoon dry milk
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1 tablespoon honey
2 tablespoons olive oil
1/2 cup carrot, grated or chopped
1/2 raisins
1/2 cup sunflower seeds
1/2 cup bran flakes
2 tablespoons wheat germ
3 teaspoons active dry yeast or 2 teaspoons fast rise yeast

Steps:

  • Place ingredients as listed in bread machine pan, making a well for yeast.
  • If using the time bake cycle, place carrots away from yeast.
  • This will prevent the carrots from turning brown.
  • This recipe can be used with the regular, rapid or delayed time bake cycles.

1 1/8 cups water
2 tablespoons canola oil
2 tablespoons honey
2 tablespoons dark brown sugar
1 large egg
1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
1 cup bread flour
2 tablespoons bread flour
1/3 cup full-fat soy flour
1 1/2 tablespoons wheat germ
1/4 cup nonfat dry milk powder
1 1/2 tablespoons gluten
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
2 1/2 teaspoons fast rising yeast (or 1 tablespoon bread machine yeast)

Steps:

  • Place ingredients in the pan according to the order in the manufacturer's instructions.
  • Set crust on dark and program for Whole Wheat cycle; press Start.
  • When the baking cycle ends, immediately remove the bread from the pan and place it on a rack.
  • Let cool to room temperature before slicing.

3 cups unbleached flour or 3 cups wheat flour
3 tablespoons soy flour
3 tablespoons nonfat dry milk powder
3 tablespoons wheat germ
1 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons honey
2 tablespoons butter
1 large egg
1 cup warm water, plus
2 tablespoons warm water

Steps:

  • Put all ingredients in the pan like you would a white bread.
  • Select white bread, 1 1/2 lb loaf.
  • Press start.
