8 ounce cream cheese (softened)
1/4 cup sour cream
1/4 cup mayonnaise
1 cup cheddar cheese (grated)
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1 Tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce
1 Tablespoon lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 pound lump crab meat (canned)

Steps:

  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. In a medium sized mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise, cheddar cheese, garlic powder, paprika, Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, salt and pepper. Stir together until combined and fold in lump crab meat.
  • Spread in a small casserole dish and bake for 20-25 minutes until heated through and bubbly. Serve with a slice baguette or tortilla chips.

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
4 fluid ounces sour cream
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
1/2 lb fresh backfin crab meat
1/3 cup chopped green onion

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°F.
  • In a medium bowl, beat the cream cheese, cheddar cheese, sour cream, Dijon mustard and Worcestershire sauce.
  • Gently stir in the crabmeat and most of the green onions; reserve some green onions for garnish.
  • Spoon the mixture into a 1-quart buttered casserole dish.
  • Bake for 20-30 minutes until top is set and mixture is hot.
  • Garnish the top with remaining green onions.
  • Serve dip with Tortilla chips or crackers.

1/4 lb crabmeat, drained & flaked
2 tablespoons parmesan cheese, shredded
2 teaspoons parmesan cheese, shredded
1 tablespoon green onion, chopped, only the green parts
1 teaspoon green onion, chopped, only the green parts
2 tablespoons water chestnuts, chopped fine
2 teaspoons dry white wine (optional)
3/4 teaspoon prepared horseradish
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
1/8 teaspoon hot pepper sauce (optional)
1 3/4 tablespoons sliced almonds
paprika, for sprinkling

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°F.
  • Mix all ingredients, except almonds, until well blended.

1/4 cup reduced-fat sour cream
1/4 teaspoon hot sauce
1/4 teaspoon crab boil spices, (recommended: Old Bay)
1 garlic clove, minced
Kosher salt and freshly ground pepper
12 ounces fresh crab meat, picked over for bits of shell and patted dry
2 scallions, thinly sliced
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
2 to 3 teaspoons fresh lemon juice
Whole-wheat crackers for serving, optional

Steps:

  • Stir together the cream cheese, sour cream, hot sauce, crab boil spice, and garlic in a medium saucepan until smooth; season, to taste, with salt and pepper. Heat the cream cheese mixture over medium-low heat until warm, stirring constantly, 2 to 3 minutes. It was an instant favorite, and I get so many requests for the recipe that I figured I would make it easy on myself and just post it. I usually use more Old Bay, Tabasco, and scallions than it says, cause I like a little extra kick. It really is AWESOME, especially with crusty french bread.

1 (8 ounce) package light cream cheese
1/2 cup light mayonnaise
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 tablespoon Tabasco sauce
3 scallions (finely chopped)
1 teaspoon Old Bay Seasoning
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
6 ounces crabmeat (backfin)
1/2 cup parmesan cheese (fresh grated)

Steps:

  • Blend cream cheese and mayo until creamy.
  • Add lemon juice, Tabasco, and scallions; mix.
  • Add old bay, salt, pepper and crab meat; mix.
  • Put in baking dish and top with parmesan cheese.
  • Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 40 minutes, until cheese starts to brown.
  • Can be refrigerated up to 24 hours before cooking.

1/2 cup mayonnaise (Kraft Miracle Whip is preferred)
7 1/2 ounces canned crabmeat, drained or 7 1/2 ounces use fresh crabmeat
4 tablespoons minced onions
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
1/8 teaspoon Tabasco sauce or 1/8 teaspoon red hot sauce

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 F degrees.
  • In a mixing bowl using an electric mixer, beat cream cheese and mayonnaise until smooth.
  • Stir in crabmeat, minced onion, lemon juice and Tabasco sauce.
  • Spoon mixture into a small oven-proof dish that has been sprayed with a good vegetable oil.
  • Bake in preheated 350 F oven for 20 minutes or until sauce is bubbly.

1/2 lb lump crabmeat, shells picked
4 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup sour cream
1 cup imitation crabmeat, shredded
1/2 cup dry white wine
1 1/4 teaspoons onion juice
1/2 teaspoon mustard powder
2 tablespoons whole milk
1/4 cup cheddar cheese, grated
1 pinch garlic
1 pinch salt
1 pinch ground pepper, to taste
1 pinch paprika

Steps:

  • drain the crabmeat and remove any leftover shell fragments if necessary.
  • In a heated CROCPOT, mix cream cheese, sour cream, white wine, onion juice, mustard powder, and garlic salt (and pepper) until smooth.
  • Stir in 2 tablespoons of grated cheddar cheese and then fold into the sauce with the crabmeat and imitation crabmeat.
  • Heat the mixture for 20 to 30 minutes until the mixture starts to bubble and is steaming on top.
  • Transfer the mixture into a small chaffing dish with Sterno for heat on the bottom.
  • Serve with crackers, or crudities.
  • CHEF'S NOTE: Please note that there is no mayonnaise in this recipe, therefor it can be chilled, even frozen, and upon reheating, the mixture will return to its former consistency.
  • The "secret" to this recipe is that it is cooked in a CROCK POT and not cooked on top of the stove with direct heat. You can use a double boiler but the crock pot is simpler and fool proof. The mixture will not burn.
