  • Place cream cheese on a serving plate. Top with pepper jelly (you might not need the entire jar - just pile it on top in a thick layer, allowing some to fall over the edges). Spread on crackers.

A quick and easy holiday appetizer the whole family will enjoy. Creamy, spicy and sweet, this appetizer pleases everyone's palate.

Skinny Vegan Cream Cheese
1 cup raw cashews softened (soaked overnight)
2 tablespoons water
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
2 teaspoons white miso paste
1/4 teaspoons salt or to taste

Steps:

  • Rinse and drain soaked cashews
  • In a small bowl food processor, add the cashews and the rest of the ingredients.
  • Blend until smooth; scraping the sides down and blending again
  • It will thicken more in the refrigerator.
  • Refrigerate
  • It lasts 7 days in a covered container
  • Place cream cheese in the refrigerator for an hour or overnight, so it hardens slightly.
  • Form in the shape you desire. I used a circle based on the dish I chose to use.
  • Spoon a generous amount of jelly on top of the cream cheese ball.
  • Serve with crackers or vegetables.
