A shot of bourbon transforms the popular Long Island iced tea into a Texas tea. This popular drink is easy to mix up and perfect for happy hour.

Ingredients

1/2 ounce tequila
1/2 ounce bourbon
1/2 ounce gin
1/2 ounce rum
1/2 ounce vodka
1/2 ounce triple sec
1 ounce sweet and sour mix
Garnish: lemon wedge
Garnish: cola

Steps:

Gather the ingredients.
Pour the spirits and sour mix into a collins glass filled with ice.
Stir well .
Top it off with cola.
Garnish with the lemon wedge. Serve and enjoy.

Ingredients

1 ounce lemon juice
1/2 ounce Simple Syrup, recipe follows
1/2 ounce vodka
1/4 ounce gin
1/4 ounce rum
1/2 ounce tequila
1/2 ounce whiskey
1/2 ounce triple sec
Splash cola
1 cup sugar
1 cup water

Steps:

For the sour mix: Stir together the lemon juice and Simple Syrup in a glass.
For the Texas tea: Fill a Collins glass with ice. Pour in the vodka, gin, rum, tequila, whiskey, triple sec and 1 ounce of the sour mix. Top off with a splash of cola. Stir once with a bar spoon and serve. No garnish needed.
Put the sugar and water in a small saucepan. Cook over low heat, stirring, until the sugar dissolves. (Alternatively, heat in the microwave.) Store in a sealed container in the refrigerator.
