MAPLE-GLAZED PORK CHOPS
A tasty way to fix pork chops that can be grilled or prepared in the oven. The sauce is also good on ham. From Pillsbury Grilling & Picnics. Be sure to use a good maple syrup from the US's Northeast region.

- Grill directions:.
- Heat grill. Rub both sides of pork chops with salt and pepper. In small saucepan, combine all glaze ingredients; mix well. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Set aside.
- When ready to grill, place pork chops on medium heat 4 to 6-inches from medium coals. Cook 15 minutes, turning once.
- Brush pork chops with glaze. Cook an additional 10 minutes or until no longer pink, turning once and brushing frequently with glaze. Bring any remaining glaze to a boil; serve with pork chops.
- Oven Directions:.
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

- Brush pork chops with glaze. Bake pork chops for 30 minutes, basting with glaze every 8-10 minutes.

- Combine the onion powder, garlic powder and oregano; sprinkle over pork chops. In a small saucepan, combine the apricot preserves, lemon juice and lime juice; cook and stir over low heat for 10 minutes or until preserves are melted. , Meanwhile, in a large skillet, cook chops in oil over medium-low heat for 5 minutes or until lightly browned on one side. Turn chops; generously brush apricot glaze over cooked pork. Cook 8-10 minutes longer or until a thermometer reads 145°. Let stand 5 minutes before serving. Serve with remaining glaze. - In a large shallow dish, combine the flour, salt and pepper. Add pork chops and turn to coat. In a large ovenproof skillet, cook chops in butter over medium heat until a thermometer reads 145°, 4-5 minutes on each side. Remove and keep warm. , Meanwhile, in the same skillet, bring the vinegar to a boil. Reduce heat; add maple syrup. Cover and cook for 10 minutes. - Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Dry the pork chops well and season with salt and pepper, to taste.
- Add the oil to the pan and heat
- Add chops and brown each side.
- Transfer to a plate and keep warm.
- Pour off the excess oil from the pan.
- Add the vinegar, and return the pan to the heat and use a wooden spoon to scrape up any brown bits that cling to the pan.
