Brown sugar and BBQ sauce give this otherwise traditional pork chop stuffing bake a surprisingly sweet and tangy twist.

6 bone-in pork chops (3-1/2 lb.)
1 pkg. (6 oz.) STOVE TOP Stuffing Mix for Pork
1 can (16 oz.) whole berry cranberry sauce
3/4 cup KRAFT Original Barbecue Sauce
2 Tbsp. brown sugar

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350ºF. Cook chops in skillet on medium heat 5 min. on each side or until browned on both sides. Meanwhile, prepare stuffing in large saucepan as directed on package.
  • Place chops in 13x9-inch baking dish; set aside. Mix cranberry sauce, barbecue sauce and sugar. Add to stuffing; mix lightly. Spoon evenly over chops.
  • Bake 30 min. or until chops are cooked through (160ºF).

Sweet n tangy marinade and sauce make these pork chops an outstanding dinner dish. Make the sauce the night before, marinate until after work the next day and you can have dinner on the table in 30 minutes.

6 boneless pork chops
1 cup barbecue sauce
½ cup honey
½ cup apple jelly
¼ cup ketchup
¼ cup water
¼ cup chopped onion
1 tablespoon brown sugar
2 teaspoons yellow mustard
½ teaspoon cinnamon

Steps:

  • Whisk together all ingredients except pork chops. Divide sauce mixture in half. Place half in small oven ready container, cover and set aside in refrigerator.
  • Place the other half of the barbecue sauce mixture in a gallon zipper freezer bag. Add pork chops and seal.
  • Marinate pork chops for 2-3 hours in refrigerator.
  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  • Remove pork chops from marinade and place in 9x13 pan. Discard remainder of marinade.
  • Bake chops for 15-20 minutes (depending on thickness) and internal temperature should reach 145 degrees.
  • At the same time, uncover container of barbecue sauce and place in oven for 15 minutes or until thick. Drizzle over pork chops before serving.
  • ALTERNATE METHOD FOR SAUCE: In small saucepan, cook sauce until just bubbly, but not a boil. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 10-15 minutes until sauce thickens, stirring often.
  • Divide barbecue sauce mixture in half. Place one half in quart zipper bag. Place the other half in gallon zipper bag, add pork chops and seal. Squeeze bag to make sure each chop is thoroughly coated with sauce. Put both bags in a second gallon zipper bag. Label, date and freeze.
  • Remove from freezer and thaw in refrigerator for 24 -48 hours. Follow baking directions above.

4 small Kirby or Persian cucumbers, cut into 1/2-inch pieces
1/4 cup distilled white vinegar
1/2 cup coarsely chopped fresh cilantro, plus more for serving
Kosher salt and freshly ground pepper
1/4 cup apricot jam
3 tablespoons sambal oelek or chili-garlic sauce
1 head broccoli (12 ounces), cut into large florets
3 small sweet potatoes, scrubbed and cut into 1-inch wedges
1/4 cup vegetable oil, plus more for drizzling
4 bone-in pork chops (each 1 inch thick), preferably rib end

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 475°F, with a rimmed baking sheet on center rack and another rack in top position. Stir together cucumbers, vinegar, and 2 tablespoons cilantro; season with salt and set aside. In a small bowl, stir together jam and sambal oelek; set aside. In another bowl, toss broccoli and sweet potatoes with 3 tablespoons oil; season.
  • Remove sheet from oven; drizzle with remaining 1 tablespoon oil, then spread broccoli mixture in a single layer. Roast, flipping once, until charred in places, 22 to 25 minutes. Transfer to a plate; toss with remaining cilantro. Switch oven to broil.
  • Season chops with salt and pepper; place on same baking sheet and broil on top rack until beginning to brown, about 5 minutes. Flip; spread reserved jam mixture over chops. Broil until glaze is bubbly and chops are cooked through, about 2 minutes. Return broccoli mixture to sheet; broil 30 seconds. Serve with cucumber salad, topped with cilantro.

8 boneless pork loin chops (3/4 inch thick and 8 ounces each)
1/2 cup packed brown sugar

Four 1 1/2-inch thick center cut bone in pork chops
Neely's Seasoning Salt, recipe follows
Sweet and Tangy Glaze, recipe follows
2 tablespoons kosher salt
1 tablespoon onion powder
1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon celery seed
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika
1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
1/4 cup tablespoon real maple syrup
2 tablespoons ketchup
2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
1 dash Worcestershire sauce
1 dash hot pepper sauce (recommended: Tabasco)
Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper

Steps:

  • Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  • Season the pork chops lightly on both sides with the Seasoning Salt. Remember, we aren't rubbing the chops.
  • Grill the chops for 5 to 7 minutes per side. Brush them with the Sweet and Tangy Glaze the last 5 minutes of grilling. Internal temperature should register 145 degrees F on an instant-read thermometer. Remove the chops from the grill to a serving platter and allow them to rest for 5 minutes before serving.
  • Mix the salt, onion powder, black pepper, garlic powder, celery seed, cayenne, and smoked paprika in a small bowl. Reserve a small amount for another use.
  • You can store the remaining Seasoning Salt in an airtight container for up to 6 months.
  • In a small bowl, mix together the apple cider vinegar, maple syrup, ketchup, mustard, Worcestershire, and hot sauce. Season with salt and pepper, to taste, and refrigerate if not using immediately.

4 pork chops
2 cups soft bread cubes
2 tablespoons onions, chopped
2 tablespoons butter or 2 tablespoons margarine, melted
2 tablespoons water
1/4 teaspoon poultry seasoning or 1/4 teaspoon thyme
1 (10 3/4 ounce) can cream of mushroom soup
1/3 cup water

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350.
  • Grease the bottom of a non-stick pan with a small piece of pork fat from one of the chops.
  • Brown chops on both sides over medium heat.
  • Place in a single layer in a shallow 2 or 2 1/2 quart casserole. (I use an 8x8 inch square pan.).
  • Mix together bread cubes, onion, butter, 2T. water and poultry seasoning. Spread over the pork chops.
  • In a bowl, mix the soup and 1/3 cup of water together & pour over the chops and stuffing.
  • Bake, uncovered, 1 hour or until the chops are tender.
  • *You can also use Cream of celery or Golden Mushroom soup instead of Cream of Mushroom soup.

6 boneless pork chops, about 1 1/2 lbs.
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 tablespoon oil
1 onion, chopped
2 celery ribs, chopped
2 tart apples, peeled,cored,chopped
2 cups chicken broth
1 (10 1/2 ounce) can cream of celery soup, undiluted
6 cups herb-seasoned stuffing cubes

Steps:

  • Sprinkle both sides of chops with salt and pepper.
  • In a large skillet over medium-high heat; brown pork chops in the oil.
  • Removed pork chops and set aside.
  • Cook onion and celery in the same skillet until onion is tender.
  • Add chopped apples and cook another minute.
  • Stir in chicken broth and celery soup.
  • Bring to a simmer.

  • Pour stuffing mixture into a lightly greased or sprayed 13x9-inch baking dish.
