SWEET BALSAMIC STEAK MARINADE RECIPE
Steps:
- In a medium bowl, stir together balsamic vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, honey, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, and minced onion. If it's runny, stir in another tablespoon of brown sugar.
- Put the steak in a shallow container or zippered freezer bag and pour the marinade over it so that it covers the steak. Place the container or bag in the refrigerator overnight. If you don't have that much time to spare, allow the steak to marinate in the fridge for at least one hour.
- Before cooking, remove the steak from the bag and allow to sit on a cutting board at room temperature for 30 minutes.
- Meanwhile, preheat a cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat with oil.
- Add the steak to the pan and sear for 3-4 minutes on each side. The internal temperature should reach 135 degrees for medium-rare.
- Place the steak on a cutting board and allow to rest for 5 minutes before slicing into thin strips and enjoying.

- To make the marinade, in a medium bowl, whisk together the balsamic vinegar, olive oil, brown sugar, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, dijon mustard, garlic powder, poultry seasoning, and salt.
- Place the chicken breasts in a large ziplock bag or glass container. Pour marinade over chicken. Seal bag or container and refrigerate for at least an hour or up to four hours.
- Heat grill to medium high heat. Remove the chicken breasts, saving the extra marinade (see next step). Grill the breasts for 5-7 minutes per side, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 160 degrees. Cover the chicken with foil and let sit for 5 minutes before cutting.
- To make a sauce from the leftover marinade, remove any chicken parts that are left in the marinade. Pour the marinade into a saucepan and bring to a low boil and reduce to a simmer. Simmer for about 5-10 minutes, or until the sauce has reduced and thickened slightly. Pour sauce over the cooked chicken.

- Pierce a flank steak all over with a fork. Place in a large gallon size Ziplock bag and pour in the marinade. Squeeze as much air as possible out of the bag and seal. Massage the marinade into the meat, then place in refrigerator for 6 hours or up to overnight.
