A sweet and spicy bacon strip that can be made in the oven or on top of the stove. These are so good that they will leave you wanting more.

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
- Place flour, sugar, and pepper into a resealable plastic bag and shake to mix. Shake bacon with flour mixture a few strips at a time to coat. Place coated bacon onto a baking sheet or broiler pan.
- Bake in preheated oven for 15 minutes or until bacon has cooked to desired doneness.

TURKEY, BACON AND HAVARTI SANDWICH
I love havarti (and bacon and turkey!) and this is an excellent sandwich. If you can't find havarti, muenster can be substituted. I also use the precooked bacon, heated up in the microwave according to package directions. The sandwich can be made ahead. Chilling time is not included in the prep or cook time. The recipe is adapted from a magazine.

Steps:
- Cut top 2 inches off sourdough loaf, reserving top; hollow out loaf, leaving a 1-inch-thick shell. Reserve soft center of bread loaf for other uses or discard.
- Drizzle 2 tablespoons vinaigrette evenly in bottom bread shell; layer with half of turkey, peppers, and cheese. Repeat layers, and top with bacon. Drizzle evenly with remaining 2 tablespoons vinaigrette, and cover with reserved bread top; press down firmly.
- Wrap in plastic wrap, and chill at least 1 hour or up to 8 hours before serving. Cut into 4 wedges. Garnish, if desired.
TURKEY, BACON AND CHEESE SANDWICHES
These make a great lunch. If you would like to make ahead, bake these sandwiches and then cool and wrap well. Place in an insulated lunch bag for a special lunch treat. You could also substitute slices of cooked ham instead of turkey. Recipe is adapted from Pillsbury.

- Unroll dough on work surface; separate into triangles.
- Spread each triangle with 1 t mayonnaise.
- Top each with turkey, cheese and bacon, cutting to fit if necessary.

BACON WRAPPED BROWN SUGAR BOURBON TURKEY
This turkey breast recipe is moist and full-flavored. It hits you with robust spicy and savory flavors. There's a light sweetness from the seasoning too. - 1. Rinse turkey breast off and pat dry.
- 2. Mix spices with butter to make a soft paste.
- 3. Smear spice mix onto turkey breast. You can put the paste under the skin if you prefer, this will make the flavor stronger though.
- 4. Wrap each slice of bacon around the breast, tucking the edges under.
- 5. You want to cover the entire top of the breast, so more or less bacon is fine.
- 6. Cover loosely with aluminum foil and roast for about 1 to 1 1/2 hours.
- 7. Remove foil and allow turkey breast to roast until bacon is crisp.
- 8. Allow to sit for at least 10 minutes before slicing. You can remove bacon before slicing, or you can slice with the bacon on it. Enjoy!

- Preheat oven to 350*.
- Place bacon slices on a cookie sheet and bake for 10 minutes.
- Mix together remaining ingredients. If you are using regular bacon, you may want to add garlic powder instead of garlic salt. I always use the lower sodium bacon and Turkey bacon, so I feel like I can add the garlic salt :).
- Remove from oven, flip bacon and sprinkle this side generously with sugar mixture. Return to oven for 5-7 minutes, until bacon is looking fairly crisp, but not completely done.
- Remove from oven and flip bacon again. Sprinkle this side with sugar mixture and return to oven until bacon reaches your desired doneness. (I usually allow about 5 more minutes.
- Remove bacon to paper towel lined plate to use in other recipes or start digging in, being careful not to burn your little fingers on the melty sugar!
