Strawberry Overnight Oats - the perfect easy make-ahead breakfast to enjoy for on the go. Best of all, just 5 minutes of prep time & packed with fiber and protein.

1/2 cup rolled oats gluten free as needed
3/4 cup almond milk or your favorite milk
2 teaspoons chia seeds
1/4 cup chopped strawberries plus extra for topping
1-2 teaspoons maple syrup, honey or low carb liquid sweetener
1/4 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

Steps:

  • Add oats, almond milk and chia seeds together in a resealable container, mason jar or bowl. Add strawberries (and sweetener if desired) then shake jar or combine with a spoon.*
  • Chill in the fridge for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  • Top with fresh strawberry slices before serving, if desired.
  • Enjoy cold or heat up in the microwave.

Steps:

  • To make a jar, just combine 1/2 cup rolled oats, 1 tablespoon ground flaxseed, 2/3 cup milk, 1/3 cup plain yogurt, 2 teaspoons brown sugar or maple syrup and a pinch each of salt and cinnamon in a small jar. Add your mix-ins (see below for some of our favorites), seal the jar and refrigerate overnight. In the morning, just open the jar, stir and add toppings.
  • Mix-ins: 1/2 teaspoon orange zest and 1/4 teaspoon ground cardamom
  • Toppings: chopped mango and pomegranate seeds
  • Mix-ins: 1 tablespoon sweetened cocoa powder and 1/4 cup chopped hazelnuts
  • Toppings: chopped hazelnuts and chocolate
  • Mix-ins: 1/4 cup freeze-dried strawberries (crushed) and 1/2 chopped banana
  • Toppings: sliced strawberries

½ cup plain, unsweetened almond milk
¼ cup Greek yogurt
1 tablespoon flaxseed, ground
1 tablespoon chia seeds
1 tablespoon honey
¼ cup fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced

Steps:

  • In a mason jar or overnight oats container, combine the rolled oats, almond milk, flaxseed, chia seeds, Greek yogurt, and honey.
  • Afterwards, fold in the diced strawberries.
  • Cover and refrigerate overnight for at least 12 hours to allow the oats to fully soak up the liquid.
  • In the morning, serve cold or heat in the microwave for a warm oatmeal.
  • Give the oats a quick stir, and then add your favorite oatmeal toppings such as fresh berries, nut butter, or a sprinkle of cinnamon.

50g mixed berries

½ tbsp nut butter (we used almond)

Steps:

  • The night before serving, stir the cinnamon and 100ml water (or milk) into your oats with a pinch of salt.
  • The next day, loosen with a little more water (or milk) if needed. Top with the yogurt, berries, a drizzle of honey and the nut butter.
