Here's a tasty twist on the standard meatball. These awesome oven-baked Stuffing Balls are made with tart cranberry sauce and skillet-browned ground pork.

1 lb. ground pork
1 pkg. (6 oz.) STOVE TOP Stuffing Mix for Chicken
3/4 cup cranberry sauce
1 egg
1 cup water
2 Tbsp. butter, melted

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 325ºF.
  • Cook meat in large skillet until cooked through, stirring frequently; drain. Place in large bowl; cool slightly. Stir in stuffing mix.
  • Add cranberry sauce, egg and water; mix well. Shape into 16 balls; place on foil-covered baking sheet. Brush with butter.
  • Bake 20 min. or until done (160ºF).

½ cup herb-seasoned dry bread stuffing mix
¾ cup hot water
1 pound ground pork sausage
½ cup finely chopped onion
½ cup finely chopped celery
1 egg, beaten
½ teaspoon baking powder

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C).
  • In a medium bowl, mix herb-seasoned dry bread stuffing mix with hot water. Gradually mix in pork until blended with the stuffing mix. Stir in onion, celery, egg and baking powder.
  • Shape the mixture into 1 inch balls. Place the balls on a large baking sheet, cover with foil and bake in the preheated oven 15 minutes.
  • Remove foil. Raise oven temperature to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Continue baking 25 minutes, until golden brown.

1 (10 ounce) package chopped frozen broccoli, thawed
1 (6 ounce) package chicken flavored dry stuffing mix
½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 medium onion, chopped
6 eggs, beaten
¾ cup margarine, melted
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
½ teaspoon garlic salt

Steps:

  • Place broccoli in a medium saucepan with enough water to cover. Cover, and bring to a boil. Cook 5 minutes. Uncover, and continue cooking 2 to 3 minutes, until tender. Remove from heat, drain, and cool.
  • In a large bowl, mix broccoli, stuffing mix, Parmesan cheese, onion, eggs, margarine, pepper, and garlic salt. Cover, and chill in the refrigerator approximately 1 hour, until moisture has been absorbed.
  • Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C).
  • Roll the chilled mixture into 1 inch balls, and arrange on a medium baking sheet.
  • Bake 15 to 20 minutes in the preheated oven, until browned.

2 pounds of ground Sirloin
1 medium Onion - Chopped
1 Package of Stove top Stuffing
1 Tablespoon of Italian Seasoning
1 teaspoon of Ground Oregano
1 cup of Ketchup
1/2 cup of Milk
1 Egg
1/2 cup of Brown Sugar
1 Tablespoon of minced Garlic
BBQ SAUCE:
1 can of Whole Berry Cranberry Sauce
1 cup of Country Bob's All Purpose Sauce
1 teaspoon of Garlic Powder
1/2 cup of Brown Sugar

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, place the Ground Sirloin, chopped Onion, and the package of Stove top Stuffing, both the cubed bread, and the Seasoning Package.
  • Mix together, then add the Italian Seasoning, Ground Oregano, Ketchup, Milk, Egg, Brown Sugar, and Minced Garlic.
  • Roll into balls, and place in a large pan sprayed with Cooking Spray.
  • Cook for 30 minutes, and turn the Meatballs for even cooking.
  • Cook for about another 10 minutes and finish cooking in Sauce - see directions below.
  • While the Meatballs are cooking; In a medium bowl, add the Cranberry Sauce, Country Bobs, Garlic Powder, and Brown Sugar, and stir well to mix.
  • When the Meatballs have been Cooking for about 40 minutes, pour the Sauce over the Meatballs - while still in the pan in the oven - and toss or roll the Meatballs in the Sauce with a large Spoon.
  • Cook for another 10 minutes.
  • Remove from the oven, and cool slightly.
  • Serve over Mashed Potatoes or Rice. Enjoy!

1 box frozen chopped spinach, thawed and completely drained of all liquid
1 large egg, beaten
2 tablespoons of grated parmesan cheese or 2 tablespoons romano cheese
Dijon mustard or honey mustard

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Combine prepared stuffing with spinach, egg and cheese in a large bowl.
  • Form 1 inch balls out of mixture.
  • Place on ungreased baking sheet and bake for 20- 30 minutes or until golden brown.

When I made this recipe I tried to half the recipe which didn't work out so well. I cut the recipe in half but ended up adding the entire packet of stuffing. I also used canned mushrooms instead of fresh. I got this recipe from Kraft.
