Southern Long Island Iced Tea Food

LONG ISLAND ICED TEA

Steps:

• For the sour mix: Combine 3 cups water, the sugar and the lime, lemon and orange zests in a medium saucepan and bring to a boil over high heat. Cook until the sugar is completely melted. Remove from the heat and let steep in the refrigerator until very cold and the flavor has infused for at least 2 hours and up to 24 hours.
• Strain the cold syrup into a pitcher and add the lemon and lime juices.
• For the long island iced tea: Combine 2 cups of the sour mix, the gin, rum, tequila, triple sec, vodka and lemon, lime and orange slices in a pitcher. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour and up to 24 hours.
• Serve in tall glasses over crushed ice with a splash of cola if desired

LONG ISLAND ICED TEA

Steps:

• Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Pour the vodka, gin, rum, tequila, Triple Sec, and lemon juice into the shaker. Cover and shake vigorously to combine and chill. Pour the mixture, ice and all, into 2 glasses or beer mugs and top off with the cola. Garnish with lemon wedges. Serve.

SOUTHERN LONG ISLAND ICED TEA

Steps:

• Combine everything in a large pitcher. Fill individual glasses with additional ice and strain the cocktail over the ice to serve.

SOUTHERN LONG ISLAND ICED TEA

Steps:

• Combine all ingredients in a pitcher.
• Serve over additional crushed ice.

LONG ISLAND ICE TEA

Steps:

• Add Tanqueray London Dry, Smirnoff No.21 Vodka, Captain Morgan Silver Spiced, Cuervo Especial Gold, triple sec, and sweet and sour mix in ice-filled collins glass and stir. Top with cola. Garnish with lemon wedge (optional).;

LONG ISLAND ICED TEA

Steps:

• Put the ice cubes in a mixing glass. Add the gin, vodka, rum, tequila, Cointreau, lemon juice and sugar syrup. Stir well, then strain into a tall glass filled with ice cubes. Add enough Coca Cola to fill the glass, and decorate with the slice of lemon.
• Note: To make sugar syrup, heat 1 cup sugar and 1 cup water in a small saucepan until the sugar dissolves.

LONG ISLAND ICED TEA (LIT)

Steps:

• Combine first 5 ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake and strain into a 14-ounce beverage glass. Top with soda and garnish with a lemon wedge. Serve with a tall straw.

SOUTHERN ICED TEA COCKTAIL

Steps:

• Fill a quart Mason jar with ice. Add the rum, vodka and gin, lemon juice or lemonade, iced tea and simple syrup. Stir thoroughly, taste and adjust sweetness if needed; garnish with a slice of lemon and sprig of mint. As always, drink responsibly.

X-RATED ICED TEA (LONG ISLAND)

Steps:

• Combine all ingredients into an ice filled shaker.
• Shake over ice, strain into a highball glass filled with crushed ice.
• Garnish with an orange twist or other fruit on the rim.
• Enjoy! ;).

LONG ISLAND ICED TEA

Steps:

• In a cocktail mixer full of ice, combine vodka, gin, rum, triple sec and tequila. Add orange juice and cola. Shake vigorously until frothy. Strain into a Collins glass filled with ice, and garnish with wedge of lemon.

THE REAL LONG ISLAND ICED TEA

Steps:

• Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Pour vodka, rum, gin, tequila, triple sec, and sour mix over ice; cover and shake. Pour cocktail into a Collins or hurricane glass; top with splash of cola for color. Garnish with a lemon slice.

CLASSIC LONG ISLAND ICED TEA

Steps:

• Pour the first 7 ingredients into a cocktail shaker filled with ice and shake.
• Pour into a glass filled with ice. Add Cola (if using) and grenadine. Stir.
• Garnish with lime wheel and serve.

LONG ISLAND ICED TEA

Steps:

• Pour the vodka, gin, tequila, rum and triple sec into a large (1.5l) jug, and add lime juice to taste. Half fill the jug with ice, then stir until the outside feels cold.
• Add the cola then stir to combine. Drop in the lime wedges.
• Fill 4 tall glasses with more ice cubes and pour in the iced tea.

BEST EVER LONG ISLAND ICED TEA

Steps:

• Shake the vodka, gin, tequila, rum, creme de menthe, lemon juice and sugar syrup vigorously over ice cubes until well frosted.
• Strain into a highball glass filled with cracked ice and fill with cola.
• Dress with the lime or lemon slice.
