1 Cup Crumbled Bacon
1 Cup Cooked & Shredded Chicken
1 Celery Stalk (Diced)
1/4 Cup Diced White Onion
2 Cups Corn
2 Cups Cream Style Corn
2 Potatoes (Quartered)
4 Cups Chicken Broth
1 Can Campbell's Condensed Cream of Chicken Soup

Steps:

  • Add bacon, chicken, celery, onion, corn, cream style corn, and potatoes to the 6-quart slow cooker.
  • Pour in the chicken broth and stir to be sure all ingredients are covered.
  • Cover and cook on low for 7-8 hours.
  • In the final 30 minutes of cook time, remove the lid and use a potato masher to lightly mash the potatoes.
  • Stir in the contents of the Campbell's Condensed Cream of Chicken Soup.
  • Cover and cook on low for an additional 30 minutes.
  • Serve.

1 Whole Chicken (cut into pieces)
1 Cup Corn Kernels
2 Stalks Celery (finely chopped)
1 Piece White Onion (finely chopped)
1 Stick Butter
1/2 Tablespoon Dried Thyme
1/2 Cup White Wine
1/2 Cup Chicken Broth
1 Cup Milk
2 Tablespoons Flour
Salt
Pepper

Steps:

  • Season chicken with salt, pepper, and thyme.
  • Melt butter in a skillet.
  • Brown chicken pieces on both sides. Set aside.
  • Add in onions, celery, and carrots to sweat briefly.
  • Deglaze pan with white wine then allow to reduce completely.
  • Dust the pan with flour. Roast the flour briefly.
  • Whisk in milk and broth.
  • Combine this sauce, chicken, and potatoes in slow cooker.
  • Cook for 4 hours on low heat.

1 Tbsp. butter, ghee, or cooking oil of choice (for Instant Pot version only)
1 lb. red potatoes, cut into ½-inch cubes
2 large carrots, sliced
2 celery ribs, sliced
1 medium yellow onion, diced
3 cloves garlic, minced
2 cups corn, fresh or frozen
4 cups low-sodium chicken broth (or homemade bone broth)
1 tsp. dried thyme
1 tsp. dried parsley
¼ tsp. black pepper
½ tsp. salt + more to taste
3 Tbsp. potato starch to thicken, optional (may substitute corn starch or arrowroot starch)
½ cup heavy cream*
4 strips crisp-cooked bacon, crumbled
Fresh thyme and/or parsley for garnish, optional

Steps:

  • Place the chicken, potatoes, carrots, celery, onions, garlic, and corn in the slow cooker.
  • Add broth, thyme, parsley, pepper, and salt. Stir well.
  • Place lid on the slow cooker and cook on LOW setting for 7-8 hours (or 4 hours on HIGH).
  • Just before serving, remove the lid. Mix potato starch with ⅓ cup water. Stir into hot soup until thickened slightly.
  • Turn off the heat. Stir in cream and bacon. Taste and adjust seasonings as needed. Garnish with fresh thyme and parsley, if desired.

2 tsp. minced garlic
1 tsp. ground cumin
1 tub (5 oz.) KRAFT Shredded Parmesan Cheese, divided
3 cups fat-free reduced-sodium chicken broth
1 lb. boneless skinless chicken thighs
1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
1/2 cup BREAKSTONE'S Reduced Fat or KNUDSEN Light Sour Cream

Steps:

  • Combine corn, chiles, garlic, cumin and 1 cup cheese in slow cooker sprayed with cooking spray; stir in chicken broth. Add chicken. Cover with lid.
  • Cook on LOW 6 to 7 hrs. (or HIGH 3 to 4 hrs.).
  • Transfer chicken thighs to shallow dish; pull into shreds with 2 forks. Set aside. Ladle about 2 cups chowder into blender; blend until smooth. Return to slow cooker along with the chicken and whipping cream; stir.

5 potatoes, peeled and cubed
2 onions, chopped
2 cups diced ham
3 stalks celery, chopped
1 (15.25 ounce) can whole kernel corn, undrained
2 tablespoons margarine
salt and pepper to taste
2 cubes chicken bouillon
1 (12 fluid ounce) can evaporated milk

Steps:

  • In a slow cooker, place the potatoes, onions, ham, celery, corn, butter or margarine and salt and pepper to taste. Add water to cover and two bouillon cubes.
  • Cook on low setting for 8 to 9 hours and then stir in the evaporated milk. Cook for 30 more minutes.

The original recipe for this chowder called for white fish & shrimp. My family is not a fan of seafood so I replaced the protein with chicken. You could also use left-over turkey. This recipe can also be prepared stove top. Just sweat the onions in a few tbsp of olive oil before adding broth, etc. Bring to simmer until potatoes are tender, blend & add the rest of ingredients until heated thru and slightly thickened. Serve with a nice loaf of bread & butter.

1 (49 ounce) can chicken broth
1 onion, chopped
2 large potatoes, peeled & cut into 1/2 dice (about 1 1/4 lbs)
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons dried dill weed
1 (15 ounce) can corn, drained
1/2 cup heavy cream
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
black pepper
salt
2/3 cup instant mashed instant potato flakes
1 store bought rotisserie chicken breast, picked of meat

Steps:

  • In an electric slow cooker, combine the broth, flour, onion, potatoes, and dill weed. Cover and cook on low about 5 hrs or until potatoes are just tender.
  • Ladle about 2 cups potatoes and broth into a blender. Pulse until smooth, adding extra broth if needed. Return to slow cooker. Increase heat setting to high.
  • Stir in corn, cream, garlic, pepper, potato buds, and chicken meat. Cover and cook on high about 10 minutes until slightly thickened.
  • Season with salt to taste.
