1 teaspoon chili powder
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon onion powder
1/4 teaspoon celery seed
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 fresh beef brisket (2-1/2 pounds), trimmed
SAUCE:
1/2 cup ketchup
1/2 cup chili sauce
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
2 tablespoons cider vinegar
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 to 1-1/2 teaspoons Liquid Smoke, optional
1/2 teaspoon ground mustard

Steps:

  • In a small bowl, combine the first six ingredients; rub over brisket. Place in a 3-qt. slow cooker. , In a large bowl, combine the sauce ingredients. Pour half over the brisket; set the remaining sauce aside. , Cover and cook on high for 4-5 hours or until meat is tender. Serve with the reserved sauce.

1 boneless beef chuck roast (3 pounds)
1-1/2 cups ketchup
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/4 cup barbecue sauce
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
1 teaspoon liquid smoke, optional
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon pepper
12 sandwich buns, split
Sliced onions, dill pickles and pickled jalapenos, optional

Steps:

  • Cut roast in half and place in a 3- or 4-qt. slow cooker. In a small bowl, combine the ketchup, brown sugar, barbecue sauce, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, liquid smoke if desired and seasonings. Pour over beef., Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours or until meat is tender. Remove meat; cool slightly. Skim fat from cooking liquid., Shred beef with two forks; return to the slow cooker. Cover and cook for 15 minutes or until heated through. Using a slotted spoon, place 1/2 cup on each bun. Serve with onions, pickles and jalapenos if desired. Freeze option: Place individual portions of cooled meat mixture in freezer containers. To use, partially thaw in refrigerator overnight. Slow Cooker BBQ Beef Recipe from Festival Foods, a grocery store in Green Bay. This recipe was featured on the local morning news. I have made this a few times and it is very good. Not too sugary like most bbq in this area. I often don't even add the ketchup, but that is our family's preference.

4 -5 lbs beef chuck roast
1 tablespoon garlic salt
1 tablespoon black pepper
2 cups chicken broth
1 onion, sliced
1 (15 ounce) can tomato sauce
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup ketchup
3 tablespoons Dijon mustard
1 dash Worcestershire sauce
1 (18 ounce) bottle barbecue sauce (I like KC Masterpiece or Cattlemans for this)

Steps:

  • Season roast with garlic salt and pepper and place in slow cooker. Add all remaining ingredients but the BBQ sauce.
  • Cover and cook on LOW for 9 to 11 hours, until beef is very tender.
  • Shred meat with a fork after cooking and retain 1 cup of the juice from cooking.
  • Add bottle of BBQ sauce.
  • Cover and cook on high for another 45-60 minutes.
  • Serve over split buns with a pasta salad.

4 lbs country-style boneless pork ribs (or beef ribs)
1 (16 ounce) bottle bulls eye original barbecue sauce (about 2 cups)
1 large white onion, sliced
6 garlic cloves, minced
1/4 cup honey
salt and pepper

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 280°F.
  • In large baking dish place down 2 long pieces aluminum foil, criss cross.
  • Put meat on foil pour BBQ sauce on top drizzle honey over it.
  • Sprinkle with garlic.
  • Place onions all over.
  • Salt and pepper it.
  • Wrap up foil and seal it well.
  • Cook for about 6 hours.
