SIMPLE AND SATISFYING BROCCOLI

Steps:
- Trim the woody skin off the broccoli stem and slice the broccoli into nice long "trees". In a large saucepan, mix the water, olive oil, garlic, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper. Bring to a boil over high heat. Add the broccoli and cover to steam. After 3 minutes, turn off the heat, and allow the broccoli to sit for another couple of minutes. Toss to coat and serve.
EASY BROCCOLI-GARLIC STIR-FRY RECIPE
Steps:
- Heat a wok or skillet over high heat, allowing the pan to heat up before adding oil. Add the oil and heat for 20 seconds.
- Add broccoli and saute 1 to 2 minutes until broccoli turns bright green. Add garlic and continue sautéing to combine.
- In a jar or container with a tight fitting lid, add the chicken broth, oyster sauce, and cornstarch. Close the lid tightly and shake liquid until contents are combined. Pour liquid over broccoli, stir to combine, cover the pan and cook for 2 to 3 minutes or until broccoli is slightly tender.
- Transfer broccoli and sauce to a plate and serve with rice.
SIX-MINUTE BROCCOLI
This recipe is from 'Madame Wong's Long-Life Chinese Cookbook', which I received free when given an electric West Bend wok as a wedding gift. I've been making broccoli this way for years. It's a quick, easy, healthy recipe.

Steps:
- Separate flowerets of broccoli into small pieces.
- Remove tough skin on stems.
- Cut stems diagonally into slices about 1 1/2 inches in length.
- Wash broccoli.
- Drain.
- Heat oil in a wok to 400°.
- When hot, put in broccoli and stir-fry 1 minute.
- Add salt, water, and sugar.
- Cover.
- Cook 3 minutes.
- Remove cover.
- stir fry for 2 more minutes.
- Sprinkle with optional sesame seeds.
20-MINUTE BEEF AND BROCCOLI NOODLE STIR-FRY RECIPE BY TASTY

Steps:
- Place the ramen noodles in a large bowl (discard the seasoning packets or save for another use) and pour the boiling water over them. Let sit for 6 minutes, stirring every now and then to break up the noodle blocks. Drain and rinse under cold water. Set aside.
- In a small bowl, combine the garlic, cornstarch, sesame oil, lime juice, and soy sauce. Stir well, then set aside.
- Place the broccoli in a large, microwave-safe bowl and microwave for 1½ minutes, until soft. Set aside.
- Heat 1 teaspoon of olive oil in a large, nonstick pan over high heat. Add the steak to the pan and toss with 2 tablespoons of the reserved sauce. Cook until browned, about 2 minutes. Remove from the pan and set aside.
- Heat another teaspoon of olive oil in the pan, then add the onion. Cook, stirring often, until browned, about 4 minutes.
- Add the broccoli and cook until lightly browned, about 2 minutes. Remove from the pan and set aside.
- Add the remaining teaspoon of olive oil to the pan, then add the noodles and the remaining sauce. Cook, stirring constantly, until the noodles soak up the sauce. Return the cooked vegetables and steak to the pan and stir to distribute.
- Transfer the noodles to a serving dish and garnish with green onions, cilantro, and sesame seeds, if using.
- Enjoy!

- Put broccoli and water in a large, round microwave proof tupperware/gladware.
- Press lid on top but do not fully seal.
- Microwave on high for two minutes.
- Press and seal lid. Let stand for one minute.
- You can let the broccoli steam longer if you prefer it to be more tender.
- Drain and serve.
