- DAILY COOKS CHALLENGE - RECIPES Octopus carpaccio with fragrant Sicilian dressing and raw veg A fresh and crunchy salad made from octopus with chilli and garlic RECIPE DETAILS Servings:2 Prep time:5min Cook time:10min Dish type:Main Course Difficulty:Quick & Easy Cuisine:Italian, Seafood Chef:Ed Baines Programme: Daily Cooks Challenge Ingredients 1 large octopus tentacle (about 280g) Mandarin Chilli Garlic Salmon eggs White radish Radish Carrot Pinch paprika Preparation 1. Bring water to the boil add the octopus, blanch and remove it. In a large frying pan, heat oil add a pinch of paprika with a little garlic and chilli and toss the octopus legs through it. 2. Remove the octopus from the heat and finely slice and lay on a plate. 3. Using a mandolin shave the radishes and carrot into fine hairs and toss through a little lemon juice. 4. For the dressing squeeze the juice mandarin and combine with a little garlic. 5. Serve the shaved vegetables on top of the octopus with salmon eggs and dress with mandarin dressing
