- Step 1 Add ¼ cup water to 4 quart saucepan over medium heat. Add first 10 ingredients to pot. Bring bean mixture to a boil. Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer until flavors come together, about 10 minutes. Discard bay leaf; season beans with Adobo. Step 2 Divide beans evenly among serving plates. Divide cooked rice evenly among plates alongside beans.

Steps:
- Start the rice cooking if you want to serve it over rice.
- saute onions, garlic and peppers until tender in olive oil in a pan large enough to simmer all ingredients (about 5 minutes).

- 1. Heat oil in medium saucepan over medium-high heat. Add tomato sauce, garlic, sofrito and sazon, cook until fragrant, about 1 minute. 2. Transfer liquid from can red beans to measuring cup; add enough water to measure 3½ cups. Add liquid to pot; bring to boil. Add beans, rice and sugar; stir. Bring rice mixture to a boil; reduce heat to medium low and cook, covered, until water is absorbed, about 20 min 3. Remove rice from heat. Let sit until rice becomes tender, 5 minutes. Fluff with fork. Divide evenly among serving bowls.

- In a medium sized saucepan, heat oil over Med/Hi heat.
- add your garlic, onion and green bell pepper (we call this sofrito) and saute until tender.
- add your beans(liquid from beans as well), 2 pks of sazon, oregano, water and sugar.
- stir it all up and increase heat to High.
- once boiling, lower heat to simmer for about 30 minutes.
- add cap of vinegar and stir up
- serve over rice
- enjoy!
