With only 5 ingredients, you can make an easy, healthy snack that can be for on-the-go or for an elegant party. It's all in the presentation.

Number Of Ingredients 5

4 cups pecans, shelled
4 Tablespoons unsalted butter
4 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon hot sauce (I used Tabasco which is hotter than most sauces)
1 Tablespoon garlic salt

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 300 degrees.
  • Melt butter in skillet. Remove from heat and add Worcestershire, garlic salt and hot sauce, stir well. Toss in pecans, stir until evenly coated.Spread in a single layer on a cookie sheet and toast in the oven for 30 minutes. Stir once ortwice. Drain on paper towels.Store in airtight container for up to a week.

Number Of Ingredients 8

1 large egg white
2 cups unsalted pecan halves
2 cups unsalted roasted cashews
1/2 cup sugar
1 tablespoon ground cumin
3/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Kosher salt

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 250 degrees F. Beat the egg white with 1 tablespoon water in a large bowl until foamy. Add the nuts, sugar, cumin, cayenne, cinnamon and 1/2 teaspoon salt and mix well. Spread the mixture on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Bake until the nuts are mostly dry but still slightly sticky, about 40 minutes.
  • Remove the nuts from the oven and stir. Reduce the temperature to 200 degrees F. Return the nuts to the oven and bake until crisp, about 30 more minutes. Stir to loosen the nuts from the baking sheet; cool completely on the sheet.

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 300.
  • Mix all ingredients.
  • Spread pecan mixture in ungreased jelly roll pan.
  • Bake for about 10 minutes or until pecans are toasted.
  • I like to serve them warm, but they are good cold as well.
