I got this recipe off just a pinch by cook Cassie. She said it was a recipe made in the past by school lunch ladies. It was surprisingly good. Had to leave the onions out for the grandkids but they loved them. Kind of a variation of a chili dog. I add melted velveeta on top so yummmmmmy

Ingredients

1 lb hot dogs
1/4 c sweet relish
1/2 c onion minced
1 can(s) tomato soup
1 Tbsp malt vinegar
1 Tbsp worcestershire sauce
1 Tbsp brown sugar
1 tsp chili powder

Steps:

1. Saute the onions with the hotdogs in a little oil on stove top.
2. Mix remaining ingredients together and pour over top of hotdogs and cook until thickened.
3. Serve in hot dogs buns. Sprinkle cheese on top if desired.

Ingredients

1 lb hot dog
2 tablespoons melted butter or 2 tablespoons margarine
11 3/4 ounces condensed tomato soup, undiluted
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/4 cup water
3 tablespoons vinegar
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 small onion, thinly sliced
1/4 cup chopped green bell pepper, seeded

Steps:

Score hotdogs in corkscrew fashion and lightly brown in butter.
Stir in next 7 ingredients; cover and simmer 10 minutes. Add green pepper; cover and simmer 5 more minutes.
Serve in buns.

2 tablespoons butter
1 (1 lb) package frank, sliced
1 dash garlic powder
1 (10 3/4 ounce) can campbell's tomato soup
1 3/4 cups water
2 cups Minute Rice
parmesan cheese

Steps:

Melt butter in large skillet.
Add franks and garlic powder.
Sauté until franks are browned.
Add soup and water bring to boil.
Add rice and cover skillet.
Reduce heat to low and allow rice to absorb soup mixture about 5 minutes.
Sprinkle cheese on top.

4 strip (blank)s bacon strips, diced
½ cup chopped onion
⅓ cup chopped green pepper
⅓ cup chopped celery
2 garlic clove (blank)s garlic cloves, minced
1 cup unsweetened pineapple juice
¾ cup ketchup
¼ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon chili powder
1 (16 ounce) package hot dogs, cut into bite-size pieces
5 cups hot cooked rice

Steps:

In a saucepan over medium heat, cook bacon until crisp. Remove bacon to paper towels; set aside. Drain, reserving 1 tablespoon of drippings. Saute onion, green pepper, celery and garlic in drippings until tender. Add pineapple juice, ketchup, salt and chili powder; mix well. Bring to a boil. Add hot dogs; return to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 5-8 minutes or until heated through. Serve over rice. Sprinkle with bacon.
