HEALTHY SUGAR-FREE FUDGY DARK CHOCOLATE BROWNIES

Healthy Sugar-Free Fudgy Dark Chocolate Brownies image

These simple brownies are perfect for any chocoholic! They taste like a cross between brownies and fudge, with a flavor similar to 75% dark chocolate. They'll keep for at least one week if stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator, and the freeze really well, too!

Yield 16 brownies

Number Of Ingredients 10

¾ cup (90g) white whole wheat flour or gluten-free* flour (measured like this)
¾ cup (60g) unsweetened cocoa powder (measured like this)
¼ tsp baking powder
¼ tsp salt
1 tbsp (14g) unsalted butter or coconut oil, melted and cooled slightly
2 large egg whites, room temperature
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 ¼ tsp vanilla stevia, or adjusted to taste
¼ cup (60g) plain nonfat Greek yogurt
¾ cup (180mL) nonfat milk

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 300°F, and lightly coat an 8"-square baking pan with nonstick cooking spray.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. In a separate bowl, whisk together the butter, egg whites, vanilla, and vanilla stevia. Stir in the Greek yogurt, mixing until no large lumps remain. Stir in the milk. Add in the flour mixture, stirring just until incorporated.
  • Spread the batter into the prepared pan. Bake at 300°F for 13-16 minutes. Cool completely to room temperature in the pan, and let the brownies sit for at least 6 hours at room temperature for the fudgiest texture before serving.

RICH AND CHEWY LOW FAT BROWNIES

Rich and Chewy Low Fat Brownies image

Amazingly rich and chewy, you would never know these are low fat. I have people asking me for this recipe whenever I make it. The applesauce is the secret ingredient in these delicious brownies! One suggestion I have to make them fudgier is to use a very high quality cocoa. I usually use Watkins or Epicure Selections and found a big difference from that and the kind you can buy in the store. It makes them a real dark chocolate in the middle and they are rich and chewy! This recipe also doubles well and will fit into a 9x13 pan.

RICH FUDGE BROWNIES (NO OIL)

Rich Fudge Brownies (No Oil) image

This is about the fudgiest, heaviest brownie I've ever baked. I'm not too much a fan of the light, cakey brownie, so this one hits the spot.

Provided by babyparentingguide

Categories     Bar Cookie

Time 50m

Yield 15 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 9

1 cup butter, melted
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 1/2 cups light brown sugar
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
4 eggs
1 1/2 cups flour
1 cup cocoa powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips or 1 1/2 cups dark chocolate chips

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  • Use baking spray on a Baker's Edge pan or 9 x 13 pan. (Don't try to make this in a smaller pan unless you half the recipe -- it's a lot of batter.).
  • I usually don't use a mixer on brownie batters, but this one comes out thick. So, mix the butter sugar and vanilla on low speed until creamy.
  • Beat in each egg separately until well blended.
  • Whisk together the flour, cocoa and salt in another bowl.
  • Mix the flour mix with the butter/egg mix until well blended.
  • Stir in the chocolate chips.
  • Spread into the prepared pan and bake for 40 minutes.
  • A toothpick will not come out clean until this is basically a brick, so don't use that test. If it comes out with crumbly bits on it rather than wet slime, it's done.

RICH CHOCOLATEY FUDGE BROWNIES

Rich Chocolatey Fudge Brownies image

These brownies are so incredibly moist and rich but they still have little to no fat. Whenever I make them at my house, they're usually gone within a day or two. They can be cooked in almost any metal pan as long as the batter doesn't go any higher than 2/3s of the way up the sides but I usually use a 9 x 13 pan. They're great alone but taste even better reheated in the microwave for a few seconds with a dollop of whipped cream on the side.

Yield 1 9x13 Pan, 16 serving(s)

1 cup cocoa
2 cups sugar
4 eggs (or 8 egg whites, I usually do two normal eggs and 3 or 4 egg whites)
4 teaspoons vanilla
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1 cup marshmallows, nuts, chocolate chips, dried fruit ect

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Grease pan or spray with pam.
  • Combine applesauce and cocoa until smooth.
  • Add sugar and beat until smooth.
  • Add eggs gradually, making sure each one is thoroughly mixed inches.
  • Add vanilla, flour and salt and mix until moist.
  • Add any additions (nuts, fruit, marshmallows, spices ect.).
  • Pour into baking pan and bake for 20-30 minutes depending on your oven. Try the toothpick trick at the 20 minute mark and if it comes up with only a few crumbs, the brownies are finished.
