- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease one 9x5x3 inch loaf pan.
- In large bowl measure flour, sugar, baking powder, soda, salt, cinnamon, and raisins. Stir thoroughly. Make a well in center.
- In small bowl beat egg until frothy. Mix in melted butter and milk. Pour into well. Stir just enough to moisten. Scrape into greased 9x5x3 inch loaf pan.
- Bake in 350 degree F (175 degree C) oven for 1 hour. Serve plain or toasted with butter.

- Preheat oven to 325.
- Grease bottom only of a 9x5x3-inch loaf pan.
- TOPPING--------.
- In a small bowl, combine oatmeal, brown sugar, and butter mixing till crumbly; set aside.
- BATTER---------.
- In a large bowl mix together flour, oatmeal, bran cereal, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and brown sugar.
- Stir in milk, eggs, and oil; mixing just to moisten.
- Fold in raisins.
- Spoon into prepared pan.
- Sprinkle evenly with topping.
- Bake for 1 hour and 15 to 20 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.

- Pre-heat oven to 350 deg F.
- Mix 1 ½ cups of Raisin Brand, Milk, 2 tablespoons of the Margarine in bowl.
- Add Egg and ¾ cup Sugar, mix well.
- Stir in Flour, Baking Powder and Cinnamon.
- Mix till well blended.
- Put in sprayed 9X5 loaf pan.
- Mix remaining ½ cup of cereal, 2 tablespoons Margarine and 1 Tablespoon Sugar.
- When well blended sprinkle over batter and press into the batter.
- Bake 50 minutes. Cool 10 minutes before removing from pan.
CARROT RAISIN QUICK BREAD
Another gem I found through Cooking Light magazine. This gives a very moist and packed with flavor quick bread that is lower in calories than a cake. I like to add chopped walnuts or pecans to the bread but the original recipe does not call for them so I left it as written. It is also fun to add about a 1/2 cup of shredded unsweetened coconut for a fun twist.

- Preheat oven to 350°F Coat an 8-inch loaf pan with non-stick cooking spray.
- In a large bowl, combine flour, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, baking powder and salt together.

- In a bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water; set aside. In another bowl, combine boiling water, oil, sugar and salt; stir until sugar is dissolved. Stir in cold water and bran. Stir into yeast mixture. Add whole flour and 1-1/2 cups all-purpose flour. Beat on medium speed for 2-3 minutes. Stir in enough remaining all-purpose flour to make a stiff dough., Turn onto a floured surface; knead until smooth and elastic, about 8 minutes. Place in a greased bowl, turning once to grease top.
