BANANA SLUSH
This is my husband's favorite! Never had any left over any time I have made it! Can be made ahead of time and then left out for a few hours to then mash into slush.

Steps:
- Mix pineapple juice, bananas, orange juice concentrate, and lemonade concentrate in a large bowl.
- Bring water to a boil in a saucepan. Dissolve sugar in the water and bring again to a boil; pour over the juice mixture and stir.
- Cover bowl with plastic wrap and freeze until mixture is mushy, at least 4 hours.
- Mix equal parts slush and lemon-lime soda in cocktail glasses to serve.

This is a favorite recipe of my late mother-in-law's family, used for all celebrations.

- In a blender, combine bananas, sugar and 3 cups water. Blend until smooth. Pour into a large bowl and stir in pineapple juice. Blend in orange juice concentrate, lemonade concentrate and 3 cups water. Divide into 3 plastic containers and freeze until solid.
- Remove from freezer 3 to 4 hours before serving. Using one portion at a time, place slush in a punch bowl and pour in 1 liter of ginger ale for each.

- Place 1 cup of the prepared soft drink, strawberries, bananas, orange and pineapple juices in blender or food processor container; cover. Blend about 30 seconds or until smooth. Pour into 6-cup ring mold. Freeze 5 or 6 hours or overnight until firm.
- Stir remaining prepared soft drink and ginger ale in large punch bowl. Dip frozen ring mold in warm water, just to rim, for about 20 seconds to loosen. Float ring in punch bowl.

- In a blender, cover and process the bananas, orange juice and lemonade until smooth. Remove half of the mixture and set aside. Add 1-1/2 cups warm water and 1 cup sugar to blender; blend until smooth. , Place in a large freezer container. Repeat with remaining banana mixture, water and sugar; add to container. Cover and freeze until solid. , One hour before serving, remove punch base from freezer. Just before serving, place in a large punch bowl. Add pineapple juice and soda; stir until well blended. Garnish with orange slices if desired.

This was served at my daughters baby shower, her MIL made it and it was fantastic! Even great the next day (we took the leftovers home). Easy to make ahead and have in the freezer for unexpected guests.

- On stovetop, heat sugar in water until fully dissolved. Let cool.
- Add the rest of the ingredients except the soda and mix well. Freeze this mixture overnight. Be sure to pour it into something you can get it out of easily while still in frozen state. I use quart or gallon size freezer bags.
- When ready to use - allow mixture to thaw a couple hours prior to serving. Place in punch bowl and add the bottle of soda. Serve and enjoy!

- Boil water and sugar together until clear. Let mixture set until cool.
- Add juice concentrates (and about 2 cups water) to mixture and freeze until slushy.
- When ready to serve, defrost slightly and place in punch bowl.
- Pour ginger ale over top.
- Mix in bananas.
- (I find it easiest to freeze the mixture in a large rectangular tupperware). Also, the 8 hours cooking time listed here is actually 8 hours freezing time.

- In a large saucepan, bring sugar and 3 cups water to a boil and let boil for 5 minutes. Remove from stove top and let cool.
- In a large bowl, mix together bananas, pineapple juice, concentrated orange juice, water, and crushed pineapple. Add in sugar water and mix well.
- Freeze in a covered container for 24-48 hours.
- Remove from freezer and using a large scoop, spoon into a large serving bowl. Chop up the large chunks if necessary.
- Add lemon-lime soda and ladle into cups.
