This sweet and delicious, creamy peanut butter spread is served with every Amish Sunday Church meal, along with bread and buns.

Number Of Ingredients 6

Ingredients

2 c. brown sugar
1 1/2 c. white sugar
2/3 c. molasses
2 c. water
2 1/2 lb. peanut butter
1 1/2 c. marshmallow cream

Steps:

Mix water, sugars, and molasses in saucepan. Bring to boil.
Boil on medium heat for about 2 minutes.
Cool completely.
Add peanut butter and marshmallow cream and mix well, until smooth and creamy.
Serve on bread or buns. Or anything else you like peanut butter with.

3 tablespoons marshmallow cream
1 cup light corn syrup (I use Karo)

Steps:

Mix together until smooth.
If the mixture is too stiff, add more syrup.

Combine sugar, water and butter in a medium saucepan over medium-high heat and bring to a boil.
Once boiling, mix in corn syrup, then bring to a simmer over low heat. Cook for 1-2 minutes, then remove from heat.
Stir in peanut butter and marshmallow creme, then mix in vanilla extract and maple extract, if using. Stir until just incorporated.
