- Calienta el horno a 375°F.
- Mezcla todos los ingredientes justo hasta que se combinen con excepción de 1/4 taza de la salsa para espagueti y 1/4 taza de queso.
- Dale forma de pan y colócalo en una fuente para horno poco profunda de 13x9 pulgs. previamente rociada con aceite en aerosol.
- Hornéalo durante 1 hora o hasta que esté cocido (temperatura interna de 160°F) A los 50 min. de cocción, cúbrelo con la salsa y el queso restantes.

Steps:
- Calienta el horno a 400ºF.
- Utiliza la acción pulsante del procesador de alimentos para procesar la harina, la mantequilla, el queso crema y 1/2 cucharadita de orégano hasta que la mezcla esté homogénea y se separe del lado del contenedor. Forma una bola; aplástala ligeramente. Envuelve la bola bien con un film plástico para alimentos. Refrigerala hasta que esté listo para su uso.
- Dora la carne con la cebolla y los pimientos en una sartén grande antiadherente a fuego medio. Añade la salsa de pasta, la mozzarella y el orégano restante; mezcla bien. Coloca la mezcla en un molde hondo de 9 pulgadas para pastel de masa gruesa, rociada con aceite en aerosol.
- Estira la masa con un rodillo sobre una superficie enharinada ligeramente, (en un círculo) a lo largo de 10 pulgadas; coloca la masa estirada sobre el pastel en el molde. Sella y pellizca la orilla de la masa. Haz varios cortes en la masa para permitir que el vapor escape. Coloca la masa en una bandeja con borde para hornear.
- Hornea de 30 a 35 minutos o hasta que el pastel esté (marrón) dorado. Déjalo reposar 10 minutos antes de servir.

- In a medium skillet over medium-high heat, combine olive oil and onions. Cook the onions until soft, stirring occasionally, 3 minutes. Add garlic and cook until fragrant, about 40 seconds. Add ground beef and cook until browned, stirring occasionally. Add tomatoes, sugar and chili paste. Cook until tomatoes are soft and incorporated into the sauce, about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Season with salt and pepper. Remove from heat, fold in scallions. Set aside and let cool.
- To assemble, sprinkle a working surface with flour. Place one empanada dough round on surface and top with about one tablespoon of ground beef. Place one cheese cube over ground beef and carefully fold the dough over, while securing the filling inside with hands. Press fingers around dough, then press a fork around the border of pastel to secure. Trim excess dough with a pastry cutter (optional).
- Deep fry the pastries in hot vegetable oil. When the outside is golden brown, remove from oil and transfer to a large plate lined with paper towel. Let stand 3 minutes before serving.
