PARMESAN PUP TREATS

Parmesan Pup Treats image

Aromatic dog treats that dogs love using parmesan and cheddar cheeses, applesauce, and oats.

Provided by SweetOrdeal.com

Categories     Dog Treats

Time 1h

Number Of Ingredients 8

2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup old fashioned oats
1/3 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
1/4 cup parmesan cheese, grated
1/3 cup unsweetened applesauce
2 Tbsp. olive oil
3+ Tbsp. water
1 egg (for optional egg wash)

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°. Line baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
  • In a large bowl, mix all ingredients together to form dough. Roll out mixture using 2 sheets of wax paper to 1/4" thick. Add more water if too dry, add more flour if too sticky.
  • Cut out shapes with either a knife or cookie cutter, re-roll scraps and continue cutting out shapes. Treats can be spaced close together as they do not spread while baking.
  • OPTIONAL: brush on egg wash (beaten raw egg).
  • Bake for 30 minutes, then turn oven off and leave treats in oven overnight. Store treats in air-tight container for up to 2 weeks, or freeze for up to 3 months. ~ Woof!

HOMEMADE DOG LIVER BITES

Homemade Dog Liver Bites image

This homemade dog food is so easy to make with only 4 to 5 ingredients. A blender, liquidizer, or food processor is a great bonus and saves too much mess (but can be made without one, you just have to chop the liver well). They freeze very well. I have been making these yummy bites for my dogs for over 20 years and have not yet had a complaint! I make double or triple the mix so I always have some spare for doggy visitors. Great to chop/crumble up and put on regular dog food if pooch has lost his appetite. Also can conceal pills very well too.
