Almost Olive Garden Salad Dressing image

A keto/LCHF salad dressing that's similar to the Olive Garden dressing and takes just minutes to whip up. Gluten-free and dairy free, too. Ingredients do not need refrigeration.

1/4 cup Duke's mayonnaise
1/8 teaspoon garlic powder ((OR 1/2 teaspoon minced garlic))
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1 tablespoon Allulose ((sugar substitute, see notes))
1/4 cup white distilled vinegar

Steps:

  • Place Duke's mayonnaise in small cup or bowl.
  • Add garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and Allulose. Mix thoroughly.
  • Add vinegar slowly, starting with about 1 teaspoon, mixing thoroughly after each addition. Adding it slowly keeps the dressing very smooth.
  • Any unused portion must be refrigerated.

This Olive Garden copycat Salad dressing tastes just like the real thing, made at home! It's paleo and whole30-friendly, and modifiable for AIP.

1/2 cup paleo mayo (see notes for AIP)
2 tbsp olive oil
3 tbsp red wine vinegar
1 tbsp lemon juice
2 tsp dried parsley
2 tsp garlic powder
2 tsp onion powder
1 tsp dried basil
1/2 tsp sea salt
1/4 tsp black pepper (omit for AIP)
1 tbsp nutritional yeast (optional, this is to substitute parmesan cheese)

Steps:

  • Add all of the ingredients to a high-speed blender and blend until smooth. Use a small tasting spoon to ensure the dressing doesn't need any more of a specific ingredient to your own taste.
  • Serve chilled over a salad or store covered in the fridge for 2-3 days.

1 cup cherry or grape tomatoes, halved, or 2 Roma tomatoes, sliced
¾ cup pepperoncinis
¾ cup large black olives
½ cup thinly sliced red onion
½ cup shredded or shaved Parmesan cheese*
1 cup croutons of choice**
2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
2 tablespoons avocado oil
2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
2 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
2 tablespoon mayonnaise***
1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
1 garlic clove, grated or finely minced
1 teaspoon honey****
½ teaspoon fine salt + more to taste
Pinch of black pepper

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, combine the romaine salad mix, tomatoes, pepperoncinis, black olives, red onion, Parmesan, and croutons.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together the dressing ingredients.
  • Pour desired amount of dressing over the salad (recommend starting with about half of it) and toss gently to combine.
  • Garnish with cracked black pepper and additional Parmesan cheese, if desired.
